I wanted to try and encourage others to dive into the world of behavioural science and neuromarketing - or at least, get a taster of how enjoyable and vaulable that kind of work can be.

I thought my focus on the theories and my pet-project of advocating 'target contexts' instead of audiences and segments might backfire, but wow. Truly blown away by the response. Literally dozens of people have since got in touch with positive feedback, asking to meet up again, and generally making me feel all warm and fuzzy. The whole event was amazing, with awesome, lovely fellow speakers and attendees, all expertly guided by Chris Bentley. I'm still buzzing about it all.

Amazing opportunity to present a real DCUK brief to the 2nd year student group. Forming part of their degree, it was great to introduce our brand, and set up the process for what I'm sure will be a brilliant couple of days of Apprentice and Dragon's Den style presentations from all the groups.

Super-excited to be back at the NEC with Hyve again. The second of my two seminars this time was based around lessons and tips we can learn from children. Admittedly this was a little out of my comfort zone, as I'm certainly not a life coach or mindfulness professional. Still, I thought I could offer some fun, engaging insights based on my experiences with adoption and modelling childlike behavioural traits.

Nurturing and encouraging fresh young talent is vital for the success of any business. I believe it's humbling and empowering and rewarding all at once. Luckily, the IDM and DMA share our view at Indicia, so we created and hosted an exciting event to engage with the next generation of marketing, digital and data superstars, sharing tips, advice and encouraging networking.

Excited to share a presentation and also participate in a DMA-hosted panel. It's always great to be having a discussion about social media 'best practice' and offer practical examples of how to create engaging content and campaigns for customers of all sectors. My part on this occasion was marketing to the over 50s audience as part of our work at SunLife.

Feedback since the event has been amazing, with so many positive and supportive comments from retailers, marketers, owners, and other attendees who caught some of the Magic Marketing mix. Whilst that is a great ego boost - if people can be inspired to find out more for themselves (and stay curious about life) then that'd be the real satisfaction.
