Great conversation! Navigating a team split between tradition and innovation is challenging, especially in banking, where legacy systems hold sway. In my experience, this can be managed by fostering a "test and learn" culture. Small, low-risk pilots allow traditionalists to see the tangible benefits of innovation. Running global hackathons, for example, built trust while respecting expertise. When you align purpose, values, and narrative, adoption of change accelerates. We saw this with open banking—once teams understood the ‘why,’ engagement soared. How has your team embraced change?

Reskilling goes beyond acquiring new skills; it’s about creating a diverse and innovative workforce. But how can you measure its impact? Three key approaches can demonstrate real change: 1. Employee feedback: Conduct pulse checks or surveys before and after training to reveal shifts in confidence and skills. 2. Data analysis: Check promotion and retention rates across different groups to see if diversity gaps are closing. 3. Innovation tracking: Diverse teams are 1.7 times more likely to lead in their industry (BCG). Reskilled teams can enhance problem-solving, speed, and culture. Ask yourself: Are you tracking post-training feedback, improving promotion rates, and fostering innovation through diversity?

Maintaining Employee Engagement During Change is vital. Effective communication and engagement are crucial. In times of change, employee engagement are the cornerstones of success. And should be prioritised. Here are 9 tips: 1. Transparent Communication: Keep employees informed. 2. Two-Way Communication: Encourage dialogue. 3. Feedback Mechanisms: Establish channels for input. 4. Leadership Visibility: Be supportive. 5. Empowerment: Involve employees in decision-making. 6. Training and Support: Provide resources. 7. Recognition and Rewards: Acknowledge efforts. 8. Change Agent Network: Utilize employees as advocates. 9. Pulse Checking: Regularly assess sentiments for alignment.
