Regularly give up free time, both midweek and weekends, to coach the next generation of players at Becccehamian RFC, coaching children aged 6-12, and occasionally older. See myself as a role model to them, thus extremely fulfilling to see them improve as players and young people. Improved my ability to deal with children and parents from a variety of backgrounds. Gained confidence in communicating to a large number of people, and learnt different ways to solve problems with children In order to ensure I was able to assist in a professional and safe way, I successfully attended the RFU Entry Level Referee’s Course, as well as achieving top marks in my A-Level PE coaching module.

Assisted with the successful ‘Pitch Up and Play’ campaign, which was run alongside the RFU. Helped co-ordinate two ‘taster’ sessions for women interested in taking up rugby. Worked alongside Ladies coach, committee and the RFU in order to ensure that women of all abilities felt comfortable, welcomed, and safe. 20% of women who attended the taster sessions have since joined the team for the 2016/17 season.
