I met a prospective client who was complaining about not getting any results even though they kept paying monthly billings. I just asked for their GMB and website link. I looked at the GMB; everything looked normal there. Then I went straight to their website and opened 3-4 service pages. Without any other analysis, I could clearly see what the problem was. Well, the problem is, I searched their service names on Google to see the Google-suggested keywords for those specific services. and there are many potential keywords available. but I see none of the service pages are targeting those potential keywords. They just added the title directly without focusing on the keywords suggested by Google, and H titles are almost generic. Long-content, internal links are fine, but all those pages have no keywords that Google suggested for those services. Now tell me, is it really possible when your competitors are already focusing on the best and potential keywords and ranking at the top of the search, and you have no idea what keywords you're focusing on? Even some keywords aren't matching the user intent. So the first thing their SEO provider didn't do was analyze the keywords, and they're doing lots of backlinks, posts, and other activities while keep billing them. The client asked them why they don't see results, and the SEO provider answered: "You have some extra plugins on your website, and you have to remove them; then we will see the result." Holy cow, seriously???? And the client told me that's a very popular company; how can I doubt them? I just told him, someone's popularity isn't going to rank your keywords. Then I just took some screenshots and showed him what I see. Now he understands everything, and hopefully, we will onboard him this week (multi-location client).

“Scrap the website and go networking!” Possibly my most controversial tip as a copywriter. But if you’re just starting out, pouring all your time and money into getting the perfect website, but you’re not growing your network and audience, you’ll be off to a disappointing start. Soooo many people think they just need to create a website, and it will automatically get traffic. ❌ ❌ Eh Ehhhhhh (we need sound effect emojis!!) You need to work to get traffic there. But you can go networking, meet amazing people, gain support, advice, help, feedback, customers, referrals… heck, even FRIENDS! All without a website. I’m not saying you never need one; they play a hugely important role in a business, but they can play second fiddle to getting visible and growing your network if you’re just starting out. Never underestimate the power of a great network. It’s been instrumental in the success of my business and my resilience and happiness. You don't get what you want! You get what you give If you think your client is delaying your invoices and you keep getting toxic clients. Then ask yourself do you pay all your bills in time? If the answer is "yes" then stop allowing such behaviour take actions, charge upfront. If the answer is is "no" start paying bills on time. Introspect! If you say: "All girls are gold diggers" you will get gold diggers "All men are trash" you will receive trash men Want to receive help from people? Start helping people Want to make more money?
