So something I’ve learnt very well over the years of working and managing PPC. You can have all the relevant keywords, correct targeting, optimised bidding signals, custom audiences etc. But if you’ve got a website that dosent convert well or not at all, it’s honestly a waste of spend. Invest in CRO and your ads will elevate the performance.

I love it when brands do sexy PPC. Great example here of using: 1️⃣ Audience data 2️⃣ Location data 3️⃣ Copywriting skills To make their ad relevant and effective. Reminding me (a customer) that I don’t need to use Splitwise Inc. when I have Monzo Bank! The use of site links, that are relevant and enticing is a fantastic touch. Great example of how even a fairly dry subject, can be a chance to upsell your customer. The only way to stand out on the SERP is an effective ad - don’t forget that!

What's the biggest budgeting mistake you've made or seen in paid media campaigns? (Please comment below, let's heal together 🤓 ) In the early days of my career, I doubled the wrong client's budget as they both had the same name (well done, sieve brain) 🤦‍♀️ I've seen overspends of hundreds of thousands of pounds because ONE LETTER was missing from the campaign naming conventions, so they didn't pull into the budget tracking spreadsheet and went on spending unchecked until the end of the month 😅 I've known week-long campaigns to spend 7x the intended budget because the 'daily' budget option had been selected instead 'lifetime' 😩 I've genuinely been really impressed with EDEE's budget tracking and alerts and it makes me cringe to think how easily these overspends (and the resulting stress, embarrassment, and inconvenience) could have been avoided.
