On October 18th we recognise another important wellbeing milestone, Menopause Awareness Day. The menopause and perimenopause have significant physical and mental impacts which can be difficult to talk about, especially within the workplace. With a large proportion of the workforce experiencing menopause, it is crucial to raise awareness about menopause at work. At AMS we’re creating a safe space for colleagues who are experiencing these challenges and educate those who wish to understand more about the complexities that the menopause and perimenopause bring. Last year we committed to become one of the first organisations in the UK to be accredited as a Menopause Friendly Employer, demonstrating we have the right menopause awareness, guidance and support in place. In honour of World Menopause Day, in collaboration with our Health and Wellbeing ERG, we’re hosting two interactive sessions on managing hormonal changes.
