The Spirt of Youth Leadership programme is a government intiative where leaders recognised in high schools all over Johannesburg were selected to participate. This programme was a year long. During the course of the programme, we were trained to become young leaders of South Africa through weekly courses such as project management, emotional intelligence and developing the economy of South Africa.

At the end of the programme, we had to organise a community intiative whereby we would make a difference in the lives of those youth members. We opted for a careers day. We invited schools from under privileged areas which do not have comprehensive LO outcomes which include job shadowing. We believed career guidance is one of the most fundamental elements in developing tomorrow's youth.
