This has never been an issue, however with recent supply issues and the increased requirement for Electric Vehicles which are not prevalent in abundance on hire fleets, it’s becoming more of a challenge. Therefore at Motiv8 we want to create a database that will help us and other event agencies source these vehicles when required for short term hire. So if you or anyone you know can assist in providing vehicle loan, hire, rental or very short term lease particularly of EV’s please get in touch. We have a particular requirement for the procurement of the following for a June event. Can someone explain to me why cars don't have a single brake/throttle pedal? I know you can 'heel and toe' but it's difficult on most cars and back to front. It could slide to brake and pivot to accelerate. Should significantly reduce braking reaction times. Apparently brake pedals are also set higher than accelerators to try and stop the driver treading on it accidentally. Is this actually true? This makes moving your foot from the throttle to the brake more difficult and takes longer. This doesn't make any sense to me. I've worked in automotive since the late 60's and it's only just occurred to me. This has come from looking at motorcycles where you have to close the throttle then reach out for the front brake lever. The obvious solution is a thumb throttle as used on quads. Every second's delay in reacting increases your potential impact speed by 22 mph - based on Highway Code braking figures.

Below are some key performance indicators (KPIs) for after-sales service departments in the RetailAutomotive industry Customer satisfaction score (CSI): A customer service KPI that reflects the overall customer experience Net Promoter Score (NPS): A customer service KPI that measures customer satisfaction by comparing the number of customers who would recommend a product to others with those who wouldn't . Customer retention: A retail metric that measures how often customers return to a business to make a purchase First contact resolution (FCR): The percentage of customer tickets that are resolved on the first interaction with a customer Customer lifetime value: The average amount a business earns per customer during the time they remain loyal to the business Service revenue and profitability: A KPI for after-sales service and support . Service quality and performance: A KPI for after-sales service and support. As well as the traditional KPI’s of Recovery rate, Workshop and Technichian Productivity, Efficiency and Ultisation. Just found an article by Bodyshop Magazine Bodyshop Magazine (Plenham Ltd) from 2017 where I presented at a POST insurance event. Absolutely still as relevant now, I do wish that Insurer 's "Got a grip" and started treating all parties in the industry fairly. I fear for the future of the repair industry ( BODYSHOPS) unless Insurers realise they are part of the problem. What is the problem? lack of profitability in the repair industry, leading to people leaving the industry, lower amounts of people coming into the industry, less apprentices, an ageing demographic with valuable skills potentially being lost for ever. All aspects of the insurance and repair industry need to be getting together, collaborating with no "Ego's" . A plan needs to be put in place about the future of the repair industry, and it needs to have government backing. A holistic approach needs to taken, repairers need to be developing their business, investments needs to be made, apprentices need to be brought into the industry, more STEM ambassadors need to be visiting schools, careers advisors need to be "re educated" around the motor industry.
