    • Holding the Headteacher/Principal to account for the school’s performance
    • Monitoring the quality of teaching and learning
    • Monitoring standards and performance
    • Measuring the impact/effectiveness of school improvement
    • Understanding the issues facing the school and parents of children attending the…

    A course of continuing professional development for educators across the globe. This project was run as a MOOC in autumn 2020 and saw nearly 1700 educators from 6 continents join a nascent digital literacy community.

  • Executive Producer – Classical Music recording of seasonal music with the Choir of Keble College, Oxford, directed by Matthew Martin.

    I was Executive Producer for CRD's 2nd recording with rising star in the Oxbridge collegiate choir arena, The Choir of Keble College, Oxford. The recording takes listeners on a reflective journey, taking in seasonal music across multiple centuries and featuring world premieres . The recording has already been received with critical acclaim.

    Forthcoming publication: 'Critical Literacy is at the Heart of an Answer' in 'Media, Technology and Education in a Post-Truth Society. From Fake News, Datafication and Mass Surveillance to the Death of Trust', ed. by Alex Grech (Emerald, 2020).

    This essay discusses how much-needed critical literacy education dovetails with the rising movement to cleanse our polluted digital world: through content moderation and tech regulation.

    In my role as trustee, I oversaw a series of musician exchange programmes between the UK and Zambia. The aim of these projects was to support musicians in Zambia in their musicianship and, importantly, support UK musicians in their discovery of Zambia's rich musical heritage.

    In this project, I worked with Keble College Choir, Oxford to produce a recording of the music of William Hayes, Professor of Music at the University of Oxford from 1741 to 1777. A keen admirer of Handel, Hayes composed celebratory music for many Oxford occasions. This recording sees the Choir of Keble College and Instruments of Time & Truth revive music written for the chapels of Oxford, University ceremonies at the Sheldonian Theatre, and for grand concerts given in the Holywell Music Room…
