  • "TalkAbout" 3D collaborative virtual environment

    -

    Built a multiplayer 3D game to facilitate communication between children on the autistic spectrum for EU COSPATIAL project. TalkAbout consisted of 3 users (1 teacher and 2 students) communicating (over headsets) within a networked virtual environment that encourages conversation.

    Developed a state-of-the-art stochastic simulator (ngss) implementing 9 algorithms from the literature. Profiled and optimised simulator with performance in mind, supporting run parallelism. In one case, a modeller in our group had their simulation time drop from 30 mins (with previous simulator) to 6 seconds for his real world experimental model, which had a huge impact on his hypothesis testing. Simulator integrated into EPSRC ROADBLOCK project toolchain.

  • ssapredict web application

    -

    Created a web application that allows a modeller to upload a biomodel and performs a model topological analysis (by calling fast C++ “propertygen” program I developed). The app uses a trained linear SVC predictor to select the fastest SSA. The user is then able to download a static version of ngss preconfigured to execute the model (supporting mac, windows, linux).
