I read this article today about Generated AI in the workforce which was written by Oli Latham, VP of Strategy and Growth at Pearson Workforce Skills. The Paragraph that jumped out at me was ....... "Pearson’s recent Skills Outlook analysis report projects that generative AI will save UK workers 19 million hours a week by 2026. This may help enable a shift towards more strategic, impactful work, a more fulfilling environment, and ultimately empower employees to reach their full potential". And ..... Soft skills like empathy, collaboration, and leadership remain critical and cannot be replicated by AI. Employers should invest in upskilling programmes that teach employees how to integrate AI into their work, focusing on the individual tasks where it can make the most impact. This got me thinking about how are we preparing the workforce of the future? I would love to hear from my connections on how schools can ensure that students leaving education at least have a foundation to continue to train post school education in the skills of the future.

Had an amazing time in Leeds and Manchester speaking to schools about our systems and how we can help. One thing stood out and that was that so many schools talked about the stress around managing the post-16 bursaries ensuring everything is documented and ready for audits as any mistakes could result in the funding being taken away. Which can have a huge knock-on effect on students and the school. We then talked about our system Bursary16+ which includes ESFA To-Do Lists, Checklists, and Audit Sheets, simplifying compliance and reducing administrative burden and more importantly stress. We then discussed how we monitor any changes in the guidelines to adapt the system each year. Thanks to its user-friendly interface, schools already using our system report a significant increase in student applications.
