Levy vs Non-Levy: Differences and impact it has on your business📍. > Very simply, any business with a pay bill of over £3 million is considered a levy business. This is currently set at a rate of 0.5% of their total annual pay bill. > Smaller employers pay just 5% of the cost of their apprenticeship training and the Government pays the rest. Newest changes to the funding 📣: For new starts from 1 April 2024, where the employer does not pay the apprenticeship levy, the government will fund all of the apprenticeship training costs, up to the funding band maximum, for apprentices who are aged between 16 and 21 years old when they start their apprenticeship training. Currently, the Levy can only be spent on apprenticeships. Although, I suspect that there will be a slight shake up with the funding under the new Labour Government. #Funding #Levy #Apprenticeships

This now is the next big challenge and opportunity - how to deliver on a promise of flexibility while safeguarding areas of existing investment (apps) and protecting support for SMEs and young talent entering our workforce.
