🎄 Christmas at Westminster Abbey: A Technical Symphony of Sound and Vision 🎄 The holiday season is always a whirlwind for AV professionals, and this year at Westminster Abbey was no exception! We're proud to have collaborated with Plus 4 Audio , acting as the interface with BBC Studios and the Abbey's intricate in-house AV system. The spectacular event can be watched on ITV on Christmas Eve. Our sister company, specialising in event production, designed. event production added an extra layer of visual magic by strategically deploying additional LCD screens. This ensured that every aspect of the performances could be seen from all the remote corners of this historic venue, no matter where the audiences were seated. 🤝 Collaboration in action at Whitwam AV Integration. Our engineer Ashton Partridge met with our clients to showcase the custom upgrade for St. Lawrence's Church. This historic house of worship is tucked away in the city of Winchester between the Buttercross and the square. It’s the only surviving parish church of Norman foundation within Winchester’s city walls. St Lawrence is referred to as the Mother Church of Winchester and gave us the opportunity to work in another unique environment to integrate technology with minimal disruption and sympathy for the building. We believe in partnerships, not just projects. From design to install, training and maintenance support, we involve our clients every step of the way. This workshop visit provides the client with a hands-on experience with the new system before installation, ensuring it meets their specific needs. Our maintenance and support team have been out on site with one of our longest standing clients providing proactive maintenance for the AV systems at Winchester Cathedral. Apart from optimising performance our scheduled visits support ROI preventing costly emergency call-outs and repairs and giving the venue more budget control, minimising downtime as well as detecting potential faults and extending equipment lifespan. We understand the critical role the AV system plays, so we don't just design, install and maintain - we build trust because we care. Executing the work with minimal disruption, we helped the Cathedral prepare for one of their busiest times. The upgraded touch screen-controlled sound and video system includes custom column speakers, radio mics, and multi-cam capabilities, allowing them to enhance services and events.
