Sending the biggest heartfelt thanks to The Plymouth Business Charity Group, who raised an astonishing £24,000 on the night of their Gala and with a bit of strategic planning a further £20,000 in match funding. Thank you to everyone who supported and helped raise this incredible amount for Trevi Women. This money will help us continue the important work we do supporting women and children who have experienced Trauma. So once more a special mention to the PBCG committee who selflessly give up their time and made this happen. The impact of your kindness will always be remembered throughout Trevi and all who we support 🫶🏼 Scott Grenney Agata Kalend-Łuszczyńska Lauren Rogers Paul Montgomery Michael Mann Leslie Dyduren

We are on a mission to raise £40,000 in just one week to support women who are facing life on the streets this Christmas. Every pound raised will go towards providing essential support and hope to women in crisis. It’s about more than just addressing immediate needs; it’s about giving women the chance to rebuild their lives. From December 3 to December 10, 2024, donations made through the Big Give platform will be matched pound-for-pound. Even small contributions can have a huge impact: - £5 becomes £10, providing a woman with a hygiene kit, warm clothes, and a food pack. - £25 becomes £50, supporting one-to-one outreach work to help a woman leave the streets. - £150 becomes £300, funding an evening of outreach to support multiple women with food, clothing, and access to services. Together, we can help change lives this Christmas. ❤️ https://lnkd.in/efyqwMjs #SupportWomen #EndHomelessness #Trevi

One candle is too many 🕯️🤍 This evening, we gathered for our annual church service to honour and remember the women who have tragically lost their lives to gender-based violence this year. Held during the 16 Days of Activism, this service offers a solemn moment for our community to reflect, grieve, and pay tribute to those taken from us too soon. We are impatient to see a world free of male violence against women and girls. 🤍 #TreviWomen #16DaysofActivism

📢 Plymouth councillors from all parties united today to show their support for the fight to eliminate violence against women In recognition of White Ribbon Day, councillors backed a motion to Full Council by Councillor Sally Haydon that will see the prevention of violence against women and girls embedded in the Council’s policies and strategies. White Ribbon Day coincides with the United Nations Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and also marks the start of the first day of the annual 16 Days of Activism. The aim of White Ribbon UK is to work to prevent men’s violence against women and girls, and stop violence before it starts. The Council received the White Ribbon accreditation in November 2022. They were joined by representatives of local charities First Light, Trevi, Sanctuary and Gifted Women who shared information and resources about their work to tackle violence against women and girls. #PlymouthSaysEnough Read more here ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eQhxXQfy
