So, this morning BBC Look North showed a clip of my recent work. Biffa contacted me to create a film featuring children singing a song leveraging the importance of recycling at Christmas. There was no existing song to use or plan. Here's how I used my resources and skillsets to help: I wrote a song (featuring recycling relevant lyrics), recorded the tune and basic outline guide vocals for the children to learn at WMP studio (also a Tileyard North tenant), who arranged the track and skillfully recorded the kids singing and performing. Captured them on film performing and used AI for the b'roll footage. The use of AI on this project was the best possible solution to elevate the message. It would have cost me thousands to set up and shoot the b'roll footage. My creative ingestion and prompting allowed the message to be re-inforced while retaining the overall creative vision. Thanks to the energy and enthusiasm of the Children from Kettlethorpe High School. Huge thanks to Ben McAvoy at WMP studio's for his incredible music production skills! Thanks to Archie Carr, who filmed the children in the recording studio in my absence. And thanks to Biffa for their confidence in my creative vision.

Exciting times at Quarry Music's Writing Camp today and tomorrow in Tileyard North. Big shoutout to Quarry Music's new interns Rebecca, Oliver and George, who did a great job at presenting the labels story and achievements. Thank you to Steven Farris, and the team at Leeds Conservatoire, especially Andrew Potterton and James Warrender for your support. This camp brings together talented Leeds Conservatoire music students to collaborate, learn the art of writing for sync, and create music in groups. It's a major milestone for Quarry Music’s A&R efforts, entirely student-led by our superstar interns who organised this initiative. At MediaTracks, we’re proud to partner with Leeds Conservatoire on Quarry Music, a student-driven library music project that develops employability, delivers hands-on learning experiences, and provides a platform for students and graduates to showcase and monetise their work.
