Yesterday we welcomed Mencap to our Manchester office for their annual Shoebox Appeal. 🎁 Our colleagues joined a group of Mencap’s service users and other volunteers from The University of Manchester, Bupa, Pure Innovations and Worldpay to wrap and fill shoeboxes that will make a huge difference to homeless people in Manchester. Together, the team wrapped shoeboxes filled with essential winter items and treats that will be distributed across central Manchester. 🧣 Well done all! 👏 Aspire Recruitment

At GC, we want to ensure that all colleagues are supported and empowered to achieve their potential. 🤝 We’ve appointed a number of Neurodiversity Champions across the business who play a crucial role in raising awareness, supporting colleagues, and making our workplace more inclusive. Yesterday, our Health and Wellbeing Network EDI Network hosted a webinar with James Davies from Talent and two of our Champions. They shared their lived experiences, discussed the strengths and talents that neurodiverse colleagues bring to the workplace, and provided resources and information about the support available here at GC. 🧠

Today is #InternationalVolunteersDay and we’re celebrating the incredible volunteering efforts of our colleagues. 🤝 Our volunteering policy, Volunteer2Day, encourages colleagues to spend two days volunteering each year to make a positive difference in their communities. This year, our colleagues have engaged in a variety of activities, from supporting local charities and community groups to helping out at food banks and tidying up outdoor spaces. Well done all! 👏 The Bread and Butter Thing

At GC we want to normalise conversations around mental and physical health. 🧠 This morning our Health and Wellbeing EDI network hosted an informative webinar about hormones and their effects with Lisa Wright from Menopause the Wright Way, as part of their #Movember campaign. The session introduced how hormonal health contributes to physical health as we age, as well as mental health.

At the Growth Company, we have eight EDI networks that play an important role in shaping our colleague experience. 🤝 Today, some of our network chairs and sponsors attended Aspire Recruitment’s Peer to Peer Colleague Network event to share best practice around building successful employee representative groups and learn from other organisations. Thank you to the team for organising such a great event! 👏 Adrian Bird
