About us
Who are we? Tech Climbers is an annual list published by Active Profile, in partnership with BusinessCloud and TechBlast to showcase scalable, innovative, product-led technology business in growth regions across the UK. Our mission is to encourage growth in the tech sector by proudly shining a light on UK tech scale ups. What we do? Each programme we run, currently across Liverpool, Yorkshire and Greater Manchester has a supporting events programme in addition to the list. This is to ensure that we create opportunities for knowledge sharing and networking within the Tech Climber community. To give the best project experience, we work with carefully selected partners and sponsors to make every campaign a success. We’ve recently added an exciting new feature to the project, where you can now nominate businesses for a position on the list, as well as the usual self-entry option. Why get involved? Artificial intelligence dominates this year’s Greater Manchester Tech Climbers list. The names of the companies on the 2024 list – and a second Ones to Watch – will be revealed at an exclusive event at The Alan Manchester on December 4th. AI startups hungry for capital have dominated the Greater Manchester Tech Climbers list, making up over half of the entries, and creating 70% of the new jobs coming to Manchester’s tech sector. Great to see our 2024 Tech Climbers take centre stage at LCR's AI Summit! Rob Sims, founder of Sum Vivas, spoke about how Liverpool’s vision and purpose to invest in tech for social and economic good, helped finalise the business’ decision to put down roots in the city region, while also sharing how the use of AI to generate digital humans can encourage safe interactions for neurodiverse children. Antony Shimmin, co-founder of Mycardium AI, also shared his big vision for transforming the world of cardiac health, as he continues to build a global team from his base in Liverpool.
