A couple of weeks ago we hit a major milestone…   We captured the 100,000th tonne of carbon dioxide from our CCU plant since August 2021! That’s the equivalent of flying around the world 17,091 times or a lifetime of non-stop flying✈️.   A UK-first, the CCU has put us at the forefront of carbon capture and allowed us to produce one of the lowest carbon footprint sodium bicarbonate products in the world.   A massive thank you to the team who have put an outstanding amount of time and effort into achieving this milestone👏.   Find out more about our CCU here: https://lnkd.in/eSBUiXjv Tata Chemicals

And just like that the foundations have been laid!     Here’s a sneak peek of progress being made a Cledford Primary School breakout garden project with British Salt Limited. The team have drawn up some exciting plans – we can’t wait to see what happens next 👀

A snapshot of our Non-exec Director Padmanabhan Sankaranarayanan’s trip to Weaver Hall Museum, an old workhouse that’s been converted into a museum charting the social, cultural and industrial history of West Cheshire. Another amazing volunteer 👏    This is Helen Taylor from our lovely HR team, who headed down to Asda in Northwich to help Mid Cheshire Foodbank Ltd load up goods and ask generous shoppers for donations.     We’re happy that Helen used her paid volunteering day for such a worthy cause.   Tata Chemicals

It’s that time of year again, where we announce the winner of the autumn prize draw...   Lead Packline Technician, Paul Catterall, is walking away with a day of leave and £500 which he’s excited to put towards a family holiday.  

Last week, for world mental health day, some of the team from Natrium got zen in a yoga session run by Jennifer Haynes, our Sustainability Manager, who also happens to be a fully qualified yoga instructor. It was with a heavy heart that we learnt of the passing of our Chairman Emeritus, Mr Ratan Tata.   A rare leader who steered by example, whose unwavering commitment to excellence and ambition saw the Tata Group extend beyond India. We are grateful that his vision included making us, here at TCE, part of the Tata family.   Not only a visionary leader but a philanthropist, he dedicated his time to supporting causes from healthcare to animal rights, rural development, sustainability and education.   He will be missed, and he will continue to inspire us all.
