Quiet Strength, Bold Dreams!
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Wupadrasta Sujana's journey is a testament to this belief.
Wupadrasta grew up in a close-knit family where education was not just encouraged but celebrated. With the unwavering support of her parents, she excelled academically, earning a diploma from a polytechnic college and later a B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a prestigious government institution. Her dedication to her studies earned her the Pratibha Award, a recognition given by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, India, to students who excel in their academic performance.
Her time spent living in hostels for six years taught her independence and resilience. Though far from home, Wupadrasta always stayed connected to her roots, eagerly anticipating her mother’s home-cooked meals during visits. She shares a special bond with her sister, and despite living apart, their closeness remains a constant in her life, a heartening reminder of the strength of family ties.
One of her most cherished memories is of a long-awaited family trip to Tirupati, fulfilling a dream they had shared for years. Her next goal? Visiting Kashi and all 12 Jyotirlingas, fulfilling her deep devotion.
Wupadrasta’s professional journey began at Tata Chemicals when she was inducted at the Mithapur plant before being transferred to Mambattu, bringing her closer to home. Though the transition to a new environment came with challenges, her colleagues became her greatest support system, helping her settle in. Now, she is part of the electrical maintenance and operations team, taking on every task with the quiet confidence she’s developed over the years.
Outside of work, Wupadrasta enjoys reading comic books and watching movies, especially those starring her favourite actor, Allu Arjun. Known to her friends for pulling the best pranks, Wupadrasta has built strong bonds, particularly with her roommate, who loves her cooking and playful spirit. “I’ve always been an introvert, but my time at the Mambattu plant has given me the confidence to express myself,” she shares.
Her family, once apprehensive about her moving away for work, now beams with pride as they see the remarkable woman Wupadrasta has become. “I owe my achievements to my parents; without them, I couldn't have reached this stage,” she reflects on her journey, taking pride in fulfilling her mother’s dreams and expectations and feeling a deep sense of accomplishment.
