A non-invasive device for people with Parkinson’s to dramatically improve posture, balance, walking and quality of life.
About us
StrydAR Parkinson's Walking Glasses won the Scottish Edge Innovation Award for the use of Visual Cueing technology in glasses, as a mobility aid for people with Parkinson's. Parkinson's is the fastest-growing neurological disorder, affecting over 10 million people globally, with no cure yet available. StrydAR Glasses project a Visual Cueing hologram in the wearer's upper peripheral vision, bypassing the impaired part of the brain and sending a signal directly to the motor cortex, improving posture, balance, and the quality of walking. They can reduce falling incidents and improve independence, quality of life, physical activity, social interaction, mental health, mood, and even cognitive function. A pilot study by Robert Gordon's University, showed 70% of participants reported perceived improvements. The device is discreet and allows people to live a more meaningful life. For people with Parkinson’s, freezing of gait can make even short walks feel overwhelming. Parkinson’s affects the brain’s ability to coordinate automatic movements, such as walking. However, many people with Parkinson’s retain the ability to perform goal-directed movements when prompted. StrydAR Glasses project a visual cue into the wearer’s field of vision which breaks freezing by prompting the brain to initiate movement, encouraging consistent strides and reducing shuffling. The benefits include: 🟢 Reduced risk of falls and improved safety. 🟢 Increased confidence in movement, making activities like walking more enjoyable. 🟢 Empowers individuals to regain independence and mobility. Send us a message if you’d like to learn more about the benefits of Parkinson’s Walking Glasses. #Parkinsons #ParkinsonsWalkingGlasses #ParkinsonsSupport #MobilityAid #VisualCueing

Three years later, Eddie still wears his glasses! Eddie was one of the first to try our Parkinson’s Walking Glasses during our pilot study at Robert Gordon University in 2021. He says he’s still not had any falls while wearing the glasses, and no longer relies on his rolator. Thank you, Eddie, for being an essential part of our journey! #parkinsonswalkingglasses #parkinsons #mobilityaid

Visual cues bypass the brain’s impaired movement planning by providing an external focus, helping patients use alternative pathways to guide movement. The benefits of visual cueing include: 🟢 Improved Gait and Step Length: Maintains a steady rhythm and prevents shuffling or freezing. 🟢 Reduced Freezing of Gait: Provides a clear target to interrupt freezing episodes. 🟢 Enhanced Confidence and Mobility: Feel more secure and reduce the fear of falling. Using Augmented Reality, our Parkinson’s Walking Glasses project a discreet visual cue into your field of vision, guiding you wherever you look. No more limits—just instant improvements in posture, balance, and gait. Walk freely, anytime, anywhere. #parkinsons #parkinsonsdisease #mobilityaid #augmentedreality #parkinsonswalkingglasses #strydAR

Our Parkinson’s Walking Glasses use advanced Augmented Reality technology to project a visual cue directly into your field of vision. Unlike traditional aids like floor markers or laser pointers, the cue moves with you, wherever you look. No need to set up external markers, and no more restrictions to specific spaces or surfaces. The glasses are lightweight, comfortable, and discreet, blending seamlessly into your daily routine without drawing attention. Instantly improve your posture, balance, and gait with a cue that’s always with you. Whether you’re at home, out for a walk, or navigating crowded spaces, these glasses offer confidence and freedom in every step—letting you focus on living your life without limits. #Parkinsons #MobilityAid #ParkinsonsWalkingGlasses #StrydAR #ParkinsonsDisease

For many living with Parkinson’s, managing symptoms in public can be challenging — especially when using visible aids that may draw unwanted attention and heighten self-consciousness in social situations. We knew this was a critical issue to address. Our goal was to create a solution that feels natural, provides the necessary support, and allows users to maintain their confidence and privacy. That’s why we designed our Parkinson’s Walking Glasses to be light-reactive. They adapt seamlessly to different lighting conditions — darkening in bright environments but staying clear indoors — so users never feel like they’re wearing sunglasses inside. This means they can manage their symptoms discreetly and naturally, without compromising comfort or confidence. If you’d like to learn more or know someone who could benefit, let’s connect! #ParkinsonsWalkingGlasses #Parkinsons #MobilityAid #ParkinsonsAwareness
