✨Last night we joined our partners, NHS Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board (SNEE) and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (CWFT) to celebrate their nominations at the HSJ Awards 2024 ✨ Following the implementation of DERM, SNEE were nominated for Provider Collaborative of the Year and CWFT for Driving Efficiency Through Technology. The awards evening hosted by Dara Ó Briain, brought together more than 1,700 health and social care professionals to shine a light on excellence within the sector. A big well done to our partners who's hard work is driving earlier skin cancer diagnosis and sustainability within their systems 🦾 As The Rt. Hon. Wes Streeting MP said in his speech yesterday evening, 'let's bring the best of the NHS to the rest of the NHS'. About us
We’re working for a world where no one dies from skin cancer by deploying our AI medical device, DERM, to create the world’s most advanced skin cancer pathways. Skin Analytics are proud to work with NHS dermatology teams to deploy AI powered skin cancer pathways. Our pathways enable NHS organisations to discharge benign lesions earlier in the pathway and therefore tackle backlog, free up out-patient delays and crucially, reserve limited dermatology capacity to prioritise patients with skin cancer by focusing on providing potentially life-saving treatment. Some things we’re a little bit proud of: 🚀We’ve deployed with 18 NHS partners across primary and secondary care since 2020 🥇We’re the first and only AI skin cancer pathway within the NHS ✅DERM is the only UKCA approved Class IIa AI as a Medical Device for dermatology 🤯DERM is used in pathways that have seen over 100,000 NHS patients and identified more than 10,000 cancers 💪We’ve helped NHS organisations avoid up to 94% of face-to-face appointments in secondary care 🤳We provide Bupa and Vitality's remote skin assessment service ❤️Everything we do is in pursuit of better patients outcomes that are sustainable for health systems, globally

🚀 Heywood, Middleton & Rochdale Integrated Care Partnership (HMR) launches a pre-referral service for suspected skin cancer with Skin Analytics🚀 Another NHS partnership! But this time in primary care 🙌 HMR will leverage DERM to discharge patients with benign lesions earlier in the pathway before they reach secondary care. This will ultimately look to increase the conversion rate of patients with skin cancer into the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust - where HMR refers into. NCA is one of the UK’s largest centres for skin cancer and at present, the majority of patients HMR refers for suspected skin cancer are later confirmed to have benign lesions. By implementing DERM at HMR, this should act as the foundation for freeing up dermatology capacity at NCA in secondary care - capacity that can be used to focus on seeing and treating patients with skin cancer. Kylie Thornton, Transformation and Delivery Lead at General Manchester, ICB commented, “This partnership with Skin Analytics presents a real opportunity to detect skin cancer earlier in pathway, not only to relieve some of the burden on dermatology teams in secondary care, but free up capacity for treating patients who really need them. Together, we can enhance patient care through technology and I’m curious to understand the impact AI teledermatology can have at scale.” Special mention to the team for making this partnership happen👇 Kylie Thornton, Ryan Staniland, Dr Venk Mallya & Janet Teece ❤️ NHS Greater Manchester One Rochdale https://lnkd.in/eTBytFjz

For Neil Daly and Skin Analytics, the aim is to cut mortality rates in skin cancer, a gap largely caused by limited access to diagnostics and failure to catch malignant cancers early. He notes that while nearly 98 percent survive following early diagnosis, “the actual survival rate for skin cancer around the world is in the mid-to-high 80s,” leaving a preventable 10 percent gap largely caused by “the access challenge.” “We know that if you can increase access to dermatologists, then the utilisation of those dermatology services goes up dramatically,” he observes. But the pipeline to provide and access those services is constrained. “You have a very small number of specialists because it costs a lot of money, it takes a lot of time, and these people have to be experts... Then the healthcare system gatekeeps getting to those specialists.” Vision AI offers hope. “What's so exciting about computer vision is that you can unblock that. You can suddenly make that specialist resource infinite,” which matters in a field where speed of diagnosis matters, but training a specialist takes 15 years. In a recent interview with L'Atelier BNP Paribas, our CEO reflects on the early days of Skin Analytics and the approach that led to world-first technology that is DERM👇 https://lnkd.in/dZXnixjT

Collaborative Innovation: Evolving AI Skin Cancer Pathways to Tackle Rising Referrals and Backlogs 🙌 This afternoon at the NHS Providers Conference 2024, our Sara Polding joined Dr Richard Azurdia and Jodi Williams from NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group to share value seen, learnings and future plans following the implementation of DERM. The team discussed how teledermatology alone has not been enough to tackle increasing referrals for suspected skin cancer with limited dermatology capacity. By leveraging DERM, the Trust aimed to: ✅ Safely discharge patients with benign lesions quicker, removing the need for face-to-face dermatology appointments ✅Streamline patients to the most appropriate point of care ✅Improve skin cancer conversion rates ✅Improve access for patients closer to home When asked, 'for anyone in a similar position to you, what are the top takeaways you’d like to share?', they responded: 1. Don’t wait until it’s broken to fix it 2. Be bold and innovative 3. Do something different A great first day at #NHSP24!

📍Ready for day one at the NHS Providers Conference 2024! Find us on Stand 15 and learn how we’ve been supporting NHS dermatology teams since 2020 to: ✅ Reduce USC and routine backlog ✅ Stop face-to-face clinics for patients with benign skin lesions ✅ Free up dermatology capacity to focus on treatment ✅ Speed up patient access to skin cancer diagnosis At 3.25 in Theatre B, we’ll be hosting a talk with Dr Richard Azurdia and Jodi Williams, sharing how Liverpool University Hospitals Foundation Trust is using DERM to enhance workforce efficiency and patient outcomes, enabling hospitals to achieve more with fewer resources. #NHSP24 NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group

Big news! 📢 We’ve been awarded a place on the G-Cloud 14 Framework, one of the UK government’s leading procurement frameworks for cloud software and services. What does this mean for NHS organisations? NHS organisations can now procure our services in a more streamlined and efficient way, without the red tape that typically slows down innovation projects. With better accessibility and a quicker procurement process, together we can get to the stage that matters most - deploying DERM to release dermatology capacity and speeding up patient access to skin cancer diagnosis.
