About us
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is a true luxury house, crafting the world’s most desirable Bespoke products. The Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood, West Sussex, comprises both its global headquarters and manufacturing facility – the only place in the world where Rolls-Royce motor cars are designed, engineered and meticulously built by hand. Phantom leads the marque’s product portfolio, which also includes Ghost, Cullinan and the all-electric Spectre. Black Badge offers clients darker, subversive incarnations of Ghost and Cullinan. Every motor car hand-built at the Home of Rolls-Royce includes some element of Bespoke, the company’s unique programme offering personalisation possibilities which are limited only by the client’s imagination. Bespoke finds its ultimate expression in Coachbuild, in which Rolls-Royce and the client co-create every detail of the motor car, including its physical form. In 2023, Rolls-Royce commissioned its first independent economic impact study. This revealed a total contribution to the UK economy of over £4 billion since 2003, and now over £500 million annually. More than 2,500 people work at the Home of Rolls-Royce, and the company supports a further 7,500 jobs in its wider supply chain. Every year its Future Talent programme supports over 100 Apprenticeship, Internship and Graduate Placement positions. The Home of Rolls-Royce is also home to the celebrated Rolls-Royce Apiary with its 250,000 European honeybees. And through its Wildlife Garden and collaborations with the adjoining Goodwood Estate, the company supports local wildlife and biodiversity. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is a wholly owned subsidiary of BMW Group. It is entirely separate from and unrelated to aircraft engine and propulsion systems manufacturer Rolls-Royce plc. #InspiringGreatness #BespokeIsRollsRoyce

During 2024, Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended Series II 'The Encounter' was designed to mark the 120th anniversary of the meeting of our founders on 4 May 1904. The celebratory commission contains numerous references to The Hon. Charles Stewart Rolls and Henry Royce, including their initials embroidered on the headrests, their signatures on the C-pillar, and the historic date of their introduction as the coachline motif. The interior is finished in Duality Twill, a new rayon fabric made from bamboo, embroidered with a ‘Duality’ graphic – an abstract interpretation of the interlinked R initials of the marque’s founders’ names. In 2024, our Bespoke Collective of designers, engineers and craftspeople brought to life some of the most creative and ambitious examples of artistry ever seen. The commissions illustrate clients’ increasingly bold, diverse and personal inspirations. One of these commissions, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II 'Inspired by Rose', was a highly artistic commission inspired by the Phantom Rose. Specially bred for Rolls-Royce, the flower grows in the courtyard of the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood and nowhere else in the world. Bespoke designers created a stylised rose motif, which was then translated into the delicate embroidery on the front and rear headrests and incorporated into the meticulously hand-painted Coachline. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars welcomed Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal to the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood for her first official visit, as part of the marque’s 120th anniversary celebrations. Chris Brownridge, Chief Executive, introduced members of the Rolls-Royce Board before conducting Her Royal Highness on a tour of the plant. The tour took in key behind-the-scenes areas and at each stop, The Princess Royal met managers, associates and apprentices, who explained how their materials, processes and craft skills contribute to creating a Rolls-Royce motor car. Her Royal Highness was also briefed on the company’s extension project, which is underway on land adjacent to the existing manufacturing plant and global headquarters. This project is crucial to the company’s long-term sustainability and prosperity. Attended by an audience of Rolls-Royce associates, Her Royal Highness unveiled a plaque commemorating her visit and signed the Visitors’ Book. #InspiringGreatness

Jess Brown-Fuller, Member of Parliament for Chichester, and Councillor Windsor Holden, Chair of Westhampnett Parish Council, were guests of honour during a ceremonial walk, hosted by Gunther Böhner, Director of Manufacturing at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, to mark the official opening of the newly upgraded Footpath 417. In this transformational project, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars replaced the footpath’s rough, crumbling asphalt with a new smooth surface; it has also been more than doubled in width to two metres. Together, these improvements make it usable by pedestrians all year round and in all weather conditions. The diversion and upgrades to Footpath 417 have been conducted in close consultation with Westhampnett Parish Council, West Sussex County Council and local residents; initial feedback gathered at two recent Neighbours’ Information Evenings held at the Home of Rolls-Royce has been overwhelmingly positive. #InspiringGreatness

Today, we present Cameo, an exquisite miniature sculpture inspired by the marque’s heritage, capturing the essence of Rolls-Royce motor cars in their most elegant form. The silhouette of this unique collector’s item is an homage to the open-top motor cars built by Rolls-Royce in its earliest years. The model comprises a series of individual, highly engineered pieces carefully and meticulously designed for self-assembly. Made from a number of the same materials as the marque’s full-sized motor cars, the owner can enjoy the tactile experience of assembling their very own Rolls-Royce motor car. This extraordinary expression of Rolls-Royce in miniature form is now available in Rolls-Royce showrooms and Private Office boutiques. #InspiringGreatness

Today, we expand our global network of Private Offices with the opening of Private Office Seoul in South Korea. This marks the fifth such creative space, joining the existing locations in Dubai, Shanghai, and New York, as well as the 'original' Private Office at the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood. The international network of Private Offices enables us to engage even more closely with clients worldwide, bringing the renowned Rolls-Royce experience closer to their own homes. As one of our fast-growing markets, the Asia Pacific region has seen a significant increase in Bespoke creativity and sophistication over the past years. The opening of Private Office Seoul is a direct response to this growing demand, and it will further elevate the value of each commission in this key region, aligning with the marque's focus on unique value creation. #InspiringGreatness
