Our CEO, Ben Stafford joined an insightful panel at World Agri-Tech on this week, discussing ‘Financing the Green Transition in Food & Agriculture’. Here are the key takeaways: 🔑 Huge Opportunity: The natural capital space is rapidly evolving, presenting vast opportunities for innovation and impact. Our business provides one innovative solution and we are delighted to see the abundance of others. This is not a zero sum game. 💡 Specialist Knowledge & Capital: There's a real need for expertise and dedicated capital to unlock the full potential of sustainable practices. 📈 Myth Busting: Contrary to common belief, returns in this sector are much stronger than the wide perception. 🌍 Regenerative farmers globally have intuitively inferred and directly measured the relative impact of running a purely arable farm versus inclusion of livestock. This is why inclusion of livestock forms one of the principles of #soilhealth. Research is now catching up with this qualitative understanding to demonstrate the improvements in soil. 🐛 "Research by the Soil Association Exchange shows that farms with a mixture of arable crops and livestock have about a third more carbon stored within their soil than those with only arable crops, thanks to the animals’ manure." 🦗 Sustainable agriculture relies on reducing emissions as well as boosting biodiversity while slowing down and cleaning water through #healthysoils. However, we should also be researching how these practices can take farms from "low carbon" to "net positive carbon". The team at Regenerate Asset Management would like to extend our thanks to M&G plc for inviting us to partner last week for the screening of "Six Inches of Soil" at their incredible offices in the City of London. The themes explored in the film deeply resonate with our mission at Regenerate and reflect the core of our partnerships with global capital allocators like M&G. Two key takeaways: * 🌍 "Biodiversity represents a highly compelling investment proposition." * 💡 "Real systemic change requires purpose-driven companies and founders." Expanding this asset class requires a journey of education, and this powerful film vividly illustrates how regenerative (agroecological) farming can help to shape the future of global agriculture. This was re-iterated by the expert panel that included our Head of Farms - Oliver Martin It’s a great film for all stakeholders, asset owners, consumers and policymakers alike. Together, we aim to drive meaningful change in how capital can be invested to support the future of our planet. 🌿 #RegenerativeAgriculture #SustainableInvesting #ImpactInvesting #Biodiversity #SystemicChange

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Addy Windsor-Clive, Ryan Cameron and Jake McNaughton at Regenerate Asset Management for hosting a wonderful networking breakfast this morning. Our students had the incredible opportunity to learn about 'hidden' industries, gaining insights they might not have discovered otherwise. This event was not just about breakfast but about building connections and expanding horizons. Regenerate's dedication to showcasing these lesser-known industries opens new doors for our students, broadening their career perspectives and aspirations. #opportunity #tttresidential2024 #careers

Ben Stafford and Matt Jordon joined George Hosier and the BloombergNEF team on George's farm in Wiltshire last Friday to see first hand the outcomes from his #regenerative practices.
Chief Executive, Regenerate Asset Management - Investing into Sustainable and Regenerative Agriculture across Private Equity, Outcomes Financing and Venture Capital
There is a lot of ‘discussion’ in regenerative agriculture about methods and practices, but it’s very reassuring to spend time on farms which are generating real and observable outcomes. We were grateful to be hosted by George Hosier on his farm in Wiltshire this week and were joined by the BloombergNEF team of Ben Vickers, Helen Ramsbottom, Mark Williams, Vandana Gombar, Kamala Schelling, PhD, Iain Wilson and others. Matt Jordon our Chief Scientific Officer talked about the impact of regenerative practices on soil health and the leading indicators of soil regeneration. Through proper quantification of outcomes, Regenerate Outcomes works with farmers across the UK to baseline, model and monitor soils providing an education and training framework to support farmers moving to regenerative practices. From the team at Regenerate, we would like to extend our warm thanks to Antje Biber and the whole team at FERI , for their invitation to participate as investment specialists at the inaugural Global Asset Owner Meeting on Biodiversity, in the beautiful Villa Bonn in Frankfurt over the last 2 days. The engagement and energy were fantastic. We are all aware knowledge sharing and discussion is how we can begin to expedite capital flows and pioneering and dedicated initiatives like this are precisely what will activate that capital. 2 days of dedicated presentations and working sessions will feed into a joint action plan for global investors. Huge credit to Antje Biber for the work before, during and after, we thoroughly enjoyed it and were privileged to be involved. It really is the “start of a journey”!
