Our portfolio company, Inflammatix, Inc., has developed a solution that reads the body’s immune response to an infection and differentiates infection types. This results in a more accurate diagnosis, preventing potentially fatal mistakes, and reducing the burden placed on the hospital system. TriVerity, the firm's rapid point-of-care system, has a 1-minute hands-on time and turns around results in 30 minutes, providing vital support to emergency physicians. The company has already executed clinical studies with top academic institutions, including Harvard and Stanford, and with two of the best hospital systems in the United States, the Mayo Clinic and the Cleveland Clinic, among others. Yesterday, we held our second annual Global MediaTech Pitch Day in Potsdam, and this year was on a whole new level! Hundreds of MediaTech startups from all continents in the pipeline, amazing finalists, a promising investment shortlist, many partners, investors, and guests, a 5-camera live stream, high-quality industry analytics, and stellar PR. I’m proud of our team, grateful to all our partners, impressed by our finalists, and inspired by the support we’ve received. The road wasn't easy: Initially, over 400 companies applied to participate. We then narrowed it down to 8 finalists, all of which demonstrated enormous potential and are still under consideration for investment opportunities. Having said that, let's congratulate the two champions: DeafTawk is on a mission to bridge vital communication gaps for the hearing-impaired community through a real-time sign language solution. Vochlea Music is a trailblazer in music technology that transforms vocal sounds—whether singing, beatboxing, or even humming—into intricate melodies. Both ventures will receive a cash prize of €10,000, with the potential for follow-on #funding of up to €1 million. We are also pleased to recognize AerariumChain as they received the Audience Choice Award.
