Thank you to the helpful elves who came in the hospital to wrap lots of presents for the Children’s Centre from Ultra PCS & some relatives of our Pied Piper Team. We are ready with bags & bags of presents which can be given out over Christmas and for the children after uncomfortable procedures during the year for being brave👌 Volunteering comes in various guises but we value them all. About the Charity Founded in 1992, The Pied Piper Appeal is the leading children's charity in Gloucestershire. Our mission is to make a difference to the lives of sick and disabled children in the county. We do this in four main ways: Funding the Children’s Centre at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and other county hospitals, Supporting all of the SEND Schools in Gloucestershire with equipment and resources, Sending children with life-limiting illnesses and their families on Wish Holidays to make lasting memories and Improving children’s experiences at mental health facilities in the county.

Wow! 🤩 the art work we have funded in the paediatric emergency department looks fantastic 🤩 The artist is Alice Humphries & cost £11,204 Having bold, colourful, and creative art helps children cope with their feelings and fears, as well as managing emotional states. Art is good for well-being. Bare white walls are not for children who are afraid and unwell & we feel these paintings will make a difference to the children whilst waiting & being treated. The spot the difference walls help with assessment of things like head injuries, so less scary.
