Our packaging is made from nature, for nature. ✨ No plastics, no chemicals – just materials that go back to where they came from. To prove it’s truly nature-approved, we test everything in our in-house wormery. If it doesn’t pass their inspection, it doesn’t pass ours. It’s so natural it breaks down in just weeks at home. Still not convinced? See the proof for yourself. 👀 ⬇️ #Notpla #SustainablePackaging #Sustainability #HomeCompostable

Thank you to MP Uma Kumaran for celebrating Notpla during the debate on the Global Plastics Treaty: "Notpla has already replaced 13 million single-use plastic products with its technology, which biodegrades as fast as orange peel. It is not just changing how we use and dispose of plastic waste, but seeking to end our addiction to single-use plastics altogether." 🌍 This recognition reinforces the vital role innovation plays in addressing the plastic crisis. But innovation alone isn’t enough—we need coordinated global action to drive the systemic change our planet urgently needs. Together, through collaboration and bold action, we can build a world where sustainable choices are the norm. 💪 #Notpla #Sustainability #SustainablePackaging #GlobalPlasticsTreaty

We always enjoy hosting at Notpla HQ and a real pleasure to have Howard Dawber and Mete Coban MBE and their team recently join us. This true energy and action for climate solutions is exactly what’s needed and we’re delighted to be helping to lead that charge in our space of plastic solutions. If you think you and your team could help to play a part in the switchover to sustainable materials, please get in touch - it’ll be our pleasure to show you around our East London home where the magic really happens! 🪄 #Sustainability #PlasticFree #Notpla Hoa Doan Pierre-Yves Paslier Rodrigo García González
Fascinating to visit Notpla's offices and Research centre at Hackney Wick with Mete Coban MBE and team. Pierre-Yves Paslier, Hoa Doan and their team have developed a polymer made from seaweed which is 100% biodegradable - and have won the The Earthshot Prize as well as customers around the world. They started with Imperial College London and are now working with Imperial's scale up team as well as Grow London. Notpla is leading the way in sustainability with innovative alternatives to plastic that can replace millions of single-use items. We discussed potential collaborations to reduce plastic packaging in London’s economy - great to explore how we can work together on initiatives like launching 'plastic-free' zones and leveraging institutional purchasing power to support sustainable packaging alternatives. Looking forward to the next steps in this exciting partnership to help build a greener London. Some of London's top venues including LEGOLAND, Wimbledon and West Ham United FC are already using their takeaway food boxes. As a Grow London Global alumni, they attended lunch with the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan and me at Team GB House during International Olympic Committee – IOC Games Paris. Great to have the team on the visit including Ruphina Ochanda, Chaya Sobers, Nina Di Certo, and Meghna Misra-Elder from London & Partners.

Yesterday, we were at The Earthshot Prize 2024 in Cape Town, where our co-founder and co-CEO Pierre-Yves Paslier had the honour of joining an inspiring gathering of changemakers committed to a sustainable future. It was an exciting opportunity to celebrate the pioneering work of this year’s Earthshot Prize winners. 🌍 🚀 A special congratulations to Keep IT Cool | Deliver while still fresh, winners of the “Build a Waste-Free World” category - a category close to our hearts, having won it ourselves in 2022. Their solar-powered refrigeration systems are helping small farmers and fishers across Africa reduce food waste and improve distribution, creating more resilient local economies in the process. We’re also proud to recognise this year’s other inspiring winners: Advanced Thermovoltaic Systems – winners of “Fix Our Climate” for their technology that converts industrial waste heat into clean electricity. Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO) – winners of “Clean Our Air” for their youth-led movement transforming waste management. High Ambition Coalition for Nature and People – winners of “Revive Our Oceans” by mobilising countries to fulfil conservation commitments. Altyn Dala Conservation Initiative – winners of “Protect and Restore Nature” for restoring Kazakhstan’s grasslands and supporting endangered wildlife. Being part of this Earthshot community means experiencing firsthand the power of collaboration in tackling global challenges. Scroll through to catch a few moments from the ceremony, including a glimpse of our Notpla seaweed paper in action. We look forward to seeing where this year’s winners take their solutions. 🙌 #Notpla #EarthshotCapeTown #EarthshotPrize
