⚖️ How are trusts using health hubs to tackle health inequalities? The government has set out a clear ambition to 'shift left' to preventative and community-based care and health hubs can provide an innovative step to achieving this. 📚 Our new collection of case studies highlights examples of health hubs, where trusts are delivering services within communities to improve patient access and experience, ultimately with the goal of reducing demand for secondary services. The collection explores: 🔷 Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust's 'Life Rooms'. 🔷 Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust's 'Public Health Bus'. 🔷 South London Listens' 'Be Well' programme, in association with South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. 🔷 Actionable steps you could take to develop and implement similar programmes. Over 300 ethnic minority communication and engagement professionals have shared their experiences of working in NHS communications. The findings from a recent Taskforce for #Diversity in #NHS #Communications survey make for important reading. Key takeaways: 🟣 Motivation and values: The research highlights that 44% of respondents are drawn to communications within the NHS, motivated by a desire to make a positive impact. 🟣 Exodus of talent: A significant proportion of ethnic minority communicators (26%) do not see themselves working in the NHS in three years. 🟣 Comparative job satisfaction: A staggering 68% of professionals who have left the NHS to other employers report higher satisfaction in their current roles.
