National Competency Framework reposted this
Happy Friday all! It's been quite a week, so time to reflect on what's gone on and share a few thoughts! Firstly thanks again to everyone involved in #AphASouthEast2024, but especially Jeanette Fraser MSc MBCS and all the team from #KeyAnalytics. Some really inspiring and thought provoking things discussed. Great to see outgoing CEO of AphA Analysts Rony Arafin as well as the new joint incoming CEOs of Emma Wright and Jane Johnston LFEDIP at the event. Also sharing a few thoughts on AphA Analysts and the drive toward professionalisation of the data and analytics workforce and how the National Competency Framework is playing a really fundamental part in supporting the accreditation process. Ruminations on we ensure data and analytics are at the heart of the innovative ways of working that Rt. Hon. Wes Streeting MP is calling on people to share. Implementing new ideas is brilliant, but evaluating that they work and make the impacts we want is vital to ensure we are making the impacts we want to see. Great opportunity to speak and listen yesterday. Andy Lavelle sums it up. Thanks to Jeanette Fraser MSc MBCS for inviting us.
And that's a wrap. Huge congratulations to Jeanette Fraser MSc MBCS and the team from #KeyAnalytics for a superbly organised and informative day. Lots to inspire people and encourage them on their careers in Data and Analytics Lots of mentions for the National Competency Framework too which is lovely to hear. The Framework is a start point for us to build our professionalisation. Working with the Chief Data and Analytical Officers Network, AphA Analysts, The Federation for Informatics Professionals and continuing to collaborate with the wider data and analytics workforce, we have an incredible opportunity to build the appreciation and recognition of the work we do and the insights we can bring to impact care and delivery for the populations we serve. #bearevoltinganalyst #data #dataprofessionalisation #dataanalyst #dataengineer #datascience #datagovernancemanager #dataethicist #analyticsengineer #machinelearningengineer

National Competency Framework reposted this
In today's rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, strong public-private partnerships are crucial to advancing data and analytics across health and care. Together, we can unlock insights to drive proactive, personalised care, optimise resource allocation, and ultimately enhance patient outcomes on a national scale. We have so many great initiatives in place e.g. #FederatedDataPlatform #FrontlineDigitisation and cross-pollination of ideas can only help to breakdown perceived biases and barriers. As AnalystX we are honoured and grateful to Public Policy Projects Lee Davies and Hassan Chaudhury HonFAPM for initiating these data and analytic sessions. Building this future requires more than just access to data—it demands a robust competency framework. Skilled, agile teams are essential to ensure data integrity, security, and scalability, especially as we grapple with the complexities of federated systems. Shoutout to National Competency Framework Andy Lavelle Sarah Blundell for all the great work they are doing to provide the connective tissues for our data and analytics workforce to thrive. At the intersection of healthcare and technology, we have an unprecedented opportunity to reshape the way data is harnessed for public good. The road ahead requires a blend of shared vision, distributed technical capability, integrated plurality and empowering cross-org teams to push boundaries while maintaining trust. 🙏 Ming Tang Ayub Bhayat for your unwavering support of AnalystX The journey to federation at scale may be challenging, but the rewards—better health, efficiency, and patient-centred care—are within reach. Alex Cheung: continue being awesome! #DataDrivenHealthcare #PublicPrivatePartnerships #NHS #FederatedDataPlatform #HealthTech #Palantir #CompetencyFrameworks #DigitalTransformation #BigData
In the wake of Dr Penny Dash’s report highlighting significant failings at the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of healthcare and adult social care in England, the Government have announced an independent review of patient safety across the health and care landscape. The review will investigate how patient safety organisations work together and will feed into the government’s 10-year plan for the NHS, which is due to be published in the spring next year. We're hosting the first of three online roundtables (which occur under Chatham House rule), on Thursday this week, to discuss patient safety through the lens of technology and digital innovation. Join the roundtable ‘Uniting system partners and integrating approaches to patient safety’ by registering your interest here👉 https://lnkd.in/dHZvUUCe
