  • MSIG UK recently welcomed brokers from across the insurance industry to celebrate the end of another successful financial year. Thank you to all of our brokers who attended and who have continued to support us. Martyn Rodden gave an insightful speech on the future of MSIG UK, “Whilst we recently embarked on a journey of transformation to build out MSIG UK as a fully fledged company market carrier, our existing broking partners and Japanese clients remain at the heart of what we do. A significant part of our transformation involves further enhancing the service we provide to these broking partners and ultimately their clients, and we strive to retain loyalty and support through robust underwriting and excellent claims service. This event provided a great opportunity to spend some time with broking partners who share our client focused ethos.” Thank you to FERO https://lnkd.in/eHtHwp5s for our amazing banners.

  • In 2024, we’re celebrating 100 years of our parent company Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance (MSI) being in the UK. To mark the opening of MSI’s first overseas office on Fenchurch Street in London in 1924, MSI recently held a special centenary event at London’s Guildhall.    At the event, Shinichiro Funabiki, President and CEO of MSI, told of the expansion of MSI’s international business, from one employee in London, to more than 14,500 people worldwide.  Hironori Morimoto, MSI's Managing Executive Officer, introduced MSI Group's three London based CEOs and explained how their entities support MSI's customers. We were honoured by having external speakers join us at the event, including: - His Excellency, Hajime Hayashi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the United Kingdom of Great Britain - The Rt Hon Lord Hammond of Runnymede and Northern Ireland - Bruce Carnegie-Brown, Chairman of Lloyd's   We’re proud to be part of the legacy started by our predecessors more than 100 years ago – and are excited to continue building on this. Take a look at our video posted here that shows the highlights from the centenary event!
