  • Marketing in 2025… Here at the Mill we’ve been reflecting on the year gone, the different trends we’ve seen and used. Over the past few weeks we’ve started to consider what we think will change, grow, and fade in the year ahead? Here we go, here are a few of our predictions for Content Marketing in 2025: 🤖 AI, but as support:   Campaigns will become even more tailored than ever in 2025, and will likely use advanced AI to shape offers and experiences. But, the AI work will be uniquely designed and adapted by humans to suit market needs. 🥽 Futures made of Virtual Reality (did you get the Jamiroquai reference?):  Still very much in the mix for 2025, as it has been for a couple of years, is Augmented (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). Someone at the Mill has predicted the rise of everything from virtual stores to branded immersive online events (yikes!). ♻️ Sustainability and ethical branding:  Hurrah, one we can get on board with! Conscious consumers demand more transparency and responsibility and we think that ethical branding will be a competitive must in 2025 📈 The rise of a different kind of social media influencer:  In 2025, the less authentic influencers with millions of generic followers will be replaced with smaller, niche influencers and even more User Generated Content (UGC). 🤳 Rise of Employee-Generated Content (EGC): Talking of UGC, watch out for EGC and the rise of authentic ‘in-house’ storytelling! Content created by employees - not just marketing teams or influencers - is gaining momentum! Why?   • If it doesn’t click, it won’t stick 🖱️ Your marketing message is either connecting with people or vanishing into the void. In a world where attention spans are shrinking by the second, getting your message right before you shout about it is everything. A great marketing message will make your audience think, “This is exactly what I need.” But if your marketing message is vague or confusing you’ll leave people wondering, “What do they actually do?” 👥 Understand your audience:  If you try to appeal to everyone, you’ll connect with no one. 📈 Show the value:  Don’t just list features, explain how it benefits your audience.  Remember, don’t sell the drill, sell the hole! 🎯Make it relevant:  “We provide solutions” is forgettable. “We cut costs by 50% in 30 days” is impactful and tangible.
