Linklaters' U.S. M&A team is representing Dow (NYSE: DOW) on its definitive agreement to sell a 40% equity stake in select U.S. Gulf Coast infrastructure assets to a fund managed by Macquarie Asset Management, a leading global infrastructure and energy asset manager. This new partnership, Diamond Infrastructure Solutions, will be a specialist infrastructure provider to Dow and other industrial customers at its five locations in Texas and Louisiana. As a dedicated infrastructure company, Diamond will be a new business model with greater strategic focus on operational efficiencies and new customer acquisition. We’ve collaborated with She Breaks the Law and Next 100 Years: Women In Law to publish the findings of a first-of-its-kind industry survey exploring how women in #law perceive, and are currently experiencing, the impacts of #AI. With 77% of respondents saying that AI is having an ‘extremely significant’ impact on the profession, but only 31% of respondents feeling only ‘somewhat informed’, we’ve also provided suggestions for women working in law and recommendations for organisations to close the #gender gap. 💬 Shilpa Bhandarkar, commented: “The findings from the survey underline the genuine risk that AI could further deepen the gender divide. However, each of us has the ability to influence the outcome: whether by actively using technology to expose and challenge ingrained biases, giving our teams the time and space to experiment and learn, or by choosing vendors who share our values.
