We're excited to begin a new chapter at our Toronto site! Our Executive Leadership Team (ELT) recently visited the new site to witness the progress firsthand, coinciding perfectly with the milestone of receiving building occupancy approval from the City of Vaughan in October. During their visit, the ELT had the opportunity to see the preparations in action and engage with the project teams dedicated to facilitating a seamless transition. Our EVP & GM, BRUNO ROSSI, stated that the new Organic Chemistry Synthesis Centre of Excellence will "bring our customers a broader product range and new developments." This new site not only opens up numerous opportunities but also reinforces our commitment to advancing Science for a Safer World. "This significant investment highlights our commitment to growth and scalability, and we are excited about the opportunities this new facility will bring to LGC's internal and external customers," added Euan O'Sullivan, President & CEO of LGC. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue this journey together! #ComingSoon #LGC #ScienceForaSaferWorld

As a major producer of fruit and vegetables, Spanish growers are committed to the safety of their produce. Mercè Sánchez, Programme Manager, BRCGS, recently sat down to speak with Kiwa Magazine in Spain to talk about the about BRCGS’ critical role in ensuring food safety.  “In the last year, around 1500 BRCGS audits have been carried out in Spain, of which 44% were for the fruit, vegetables and nuts category. This is by far the largest category of audits in Spain”. As supply chains become more globalized, the importance of BRCGS certification is only growing. It provides assurance of a product's quality and safety, something that customers, stakeholders, and even investors demand.  Read the article (in Spanish) at the link below: https://lnkd.in/e-BHZgRR #ScienceforaSaferWorld #FoodAudit #FoodSupplyChain

The Women’s Network Relaunches at LGC Last week, we celebrated the relaunch of the Women’s Network at LGC with an inspiring talk by Alina Addison on “Confidence: Requirement or Consequence?” Alina challenged us to rethink confidence—not as a pre-requisite for growth, but as something we build through effort and persistence. Instead of focusing on barriers, we should aim for our goals and find the path forward, one step at a time. Colleagues worldwide tuned in, with some gathering locally to watch the talk and enjoy a few sweet treats! #ScienceforaSaferWorld

LGC Biosearch Technologies to launch Amp-Seq One: The first one-step targeted GBS workflow designed to accelerate breeding programmes and enhance agricultural genomics. With a turnaround time of just 120 minutes and only 50 minutes of PCR cycling, Amp-Seq One is set to become the fastest amplicon sequencing protocol available. It minimises hands-on time, reduces consumable use, and lowers the risk of cross-contamination, all while doubling throughput. Amp-Seq One is customised in collaboration with agricultural laboratories to meet specific genotyping goals and will be commercially available in the first half of 2025.
