Great to see our recruitment team, Niamh and Rachel, hosting the latest mock interviews for our fantastic social enterprise partner, Change Please! These employability workshops are an essential step in the journey of a Change Please trainee, setting them up for success when finding onward employment.
Employability workshops are an essential step in our trainee's journey, setting them up for success when finding onward employment. During the workshops trainees take part in mock interviews, these are 20 minute 1:1 sessions which provides trainees with real life interview experience and a chance to improve their interview skills. After completing the mock interviews, trainees are given constructive feedback in front of the group. The reason for this is because we believe that feedback is invaluable, and listening to feedback other people received is still helpful so that trainees can apply it to their own approach in interviews. This also creates an environment that is safe and helps them understand that constructive criticism allows us to become the best version of ourselves, as well as allowing trainees to take the time to celebrate their own wins in front of other people. This overall means that they can walk away from the session feeling extremely proud of what they achieved. Thanks to Niamh Rutherford and Rachel Arthur from Lexington Catering for hosting our latest mock interviews. To help continue workshops like these mock interviews in 2025, buy Change Please coffee today at changeplease.org #changeplease #changepleasefoundation #employabilityworkshops

We recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of our cafe in partnership with Fat Macy's, Fat Macy’s on Five, located at our client site based in Marylebone. Over the past year, we’ve reached an incredible milestone with over 1,000 training hours completed. This partnership has nearly doubled Fat Macy’s capacity, and we are so thrilled to have seen it grow massively this year! We celebrated with a Sohaila restaurant takeover, Fat Macy’s mission-driven restaurant based in Shoreditch that serves authentic, Lebanese sharing-plates paired with natural wines. The lunch was prepared by our talented Lexington chefs in collaboration with Sohaila’s own culinary team and served by some of the amazing trainees from Fat Macy’s. All proceeds from the event went towards Fat Macy’s crowdfunder, helping them to bring more people struggling with homelessness onto their training programme. Fat Macy’s said: “This partnership has done so much for our trainees, and we are extra grateful that all proceeds from the one year celebration lunch will go towards our crowdfunder, helping us to bring more people struggling with homelessness onto the programme.” Looking forward to even greater success and impact in the new year!
Last week, we celebrated one year of Fat Macy's on Five, our cafe in partnership with Fat Macy's, and what better way to celebrate than a Sohaila restaurant takeover. Delicious Lebanese inspired dishes, served by fantastic trainees from Fat Macy's! Fat Macy’s is a small, specialist homelessness charity with a big vision: to empower individuals experiencing homelessness in London to secure stable housing and long-term employment. Escaping the cycle of homelessness requires more than temporary support; it calls for personalised, sustained guidance and real, hands-on experience. This is where the Lexington Catering team are able to support; through a partnership of empowerment. 👇

What a fantastic December so far! We had the pleasure of returning to Ronald McDonald House Charities Evelina London House, where our chefs prepared a festive feast for resident families, providing them with a chance to enjoy a comforting meal together during difficult times. We were also thrilled to be part of the The Genie's Wish annual ‘Wishmas’ party at the iconic Hamleys of London Toy Shop. Our teams provided snacks and refreshments throughout the event, supporting this wonderful charity’s mission to grant wishes to seriously ill individuals and young carers, spreading joy in the face of challenges. We’re proud to have supported this inspiring event for 10 years. A huge thank you to our teams and these incredible charities for making this festive season memorable so far! ✨🎄🎁
