What a proud moment for all of us at JLR! Last month, we were announced as winners of the prestigious ‘Company of The Year’ award at the Women In Marketing (WiM) 2024 Awards. This incredible recognition celebrates the exceptional contributions of women who are driving change and innovation across industries, including automotive. Collecting the award on behalf of JLR, Joanne Pearson, Global Customers Insights Director said: “It’s so important that we listen to our clients, Last year, we worked across JLR on a women’s growth initiative with our Defender brand. The research we did was data-led, and resulted in improving the complete end-to-end customer experience, not just for women, but ensuring that the researching, buying and ownership experience improved for every client." We’ve also made significant progress in increasing women’s representation in leadership roles, enhanced policies such as paid parental leave and menopause support and advanced our commitment to the 30 by 30 vision which strives for a 30% growth in female workforce within the automotive industry. Our people have been essential to this journey. Guided by our core value – created for us, by us – our colleagues have played a pivotal role in empowering women colleagues to break down the barriers of gender parity. A heartfelt thank you to the WiM Awards team, our colleagues, and everyone whose tireless work across our House of Brands drives meaningful progress toward a more inclusive future. #30by30vision #womeninmarketing

What does Movember mean to you? At JLR, Movember is more than just a moustache for the mo-nth– it’s an entire mo-vement and collective commitment to champion men’s health. This year, we raised the (handle) bar. Thanks to the amazing efforts of our colleagues across the UK, Mexico, Brazil, Slovakia, with support from Movember and the Gender Equality Network, we raised over £50,000. As a thank you, the business match funded this amount, taking us to a mo-mentous £100,000. JLR is proud to be the first European business to achieve this mo-numental milestone in a single campaign in Movember’s 21-year history. We do this for the men living with prostate and testicular cancer, for the men lost to suicide every minute, and to challenge the stigma surrounding men’s mental health. This forms part of our Engage for Good initiative to take care of the communities we operate in and make a lasting positive impact on the world. Supporting the well-being of our colleagues remains our ut-mo-st priority all year round. We continuously encourage peer-to-peer support across all levels of the business, with many going the extra mile to qualify as mental health first aiders, or simply join a Walk and Talk. Additionally, through our comprehensive well-being programme, JLR offers six annual therapy sessions and 24/7 confidential support. These efforts reflect Movember’s mission to inspire collective action. Every whisker grown and every pound raised brings us closer to changing the face of men’s health. Let’s keep encouraging each other to check in on a friend – sometimes a small mo-ment and act of kindness could save a life. #Movember #Wellbeing

Reflecting on 35 years of Discovery, Hardip and Tim who have been friends for decades, reminisce about working behind the scenes on the test and development phases of several generations of Discovery since the late eighties. Tim Slaney, Propulsion Control Design, JLR: ‘’In the early 2000s, we were sent to the Nevada Desert to test the prototype Discovery 3 models. The camouflage that we would usually use to conceal the true exterior design of the vehicle was not fitted in time. Instead, we had to paint the camouflage onto the car before leaving, much like you would paint an air fix model as a child! Testing in these hot climates was a challenge at times – I recall having to replace a starter motor in 40-degree heat. The ground temperature was 80 degrees. It wasn’t glamorous but it was a privilege to be able to test those development cars to give families around the world a car that could traverse the harshest environments.’’ Hardip Singh Jheeta, Sustainable Supply Continuity Manager, JLR: ‘’Discovery was and still is designed and engineered for families. What most don’t know is that we were part of a close-knit family of engineers that tested Discovery out on the road together, cramming our possessions into the test cars as we traversed remote locations around the world. Between 1995 and 2014, Tim and I worked together on Discovery together. It’s been an incredible journey.’’ Discovery’s versatility and intelligent use of space to offer seven seats has enabled families around the world to strengthen their bond through adventure. With 75 years’ collective experience at JLR, Hardip and Tim have enabled countless families to enjoy their Discovery, creating their own JLR family along the way. Thank you for your service. #Discovery35

"Create new objects of desire. These were exactly the words I used to brief my creative team. At our very best, we have never conformed." The reimagination of Jaguar is a core pillar of our Reimagine strategy. As one of our House of Brands, Jaguar’s unveiling of Type 00 is a significant milestone on that transformation journey. Jaguar has always been bold and original; today’s reveal is a prelude to a future generation of Jaguar vehicles that will recapture the spirit and essence of the brand at its best. A fearless statement. An object of desire with its long bonnet, sweeping roofline, 23-inch alloy wheels, fastback profile and boat-tail, creating a dramatic silhouette. Type 00 commands attention. Unveiled at Miami Art Week, Type 00 showcases Jaguar’s new identity and with inspiration from Jaguar’s rich heritage, including the leaper – a precious mark of provenance. Jaguar’s transformation will continue in 2025 with the unveiling of its first reimagined vehicle – an electric four-door GT – built in the heart of the UK. Through its new and unique Jaguar Electrical Architecture (JEA), and intelligent technologies, clients will enjoy a captivating driving experience, with engaging handling and exemplary ride comfort. This is the future of Jaguar. #JLR #Jaguar #Reimagine

Range Rover Electric is undergoing the most rigorous and intensive testing ever endured by the brand, as our engineers pursue maximum client cabin comfort and vehicle capability on the dunes and city streets of the UAE. Testing the thermal management system in temperatures of 50C and up to 90 per cent humidity, Range Rover Electric has completed five ascents of the 300ft ‘Big Red’ dune in Sharjah’s Al Badayer desert without compromising performance, passing the test on par with internal combustion and hybrid Range Rovers. As Range Rover Electric excels through this significant stage of development, preparations continue to refine and craft the epitome of Range Rover luxury ahead of welcoming client reservations in 2025. #JLR #Reimagine

In an industry-first, JLR has been able to recycle used seat foam from its vehicles and use it to make new seat foam in a ‘closed-loop’. Testing will be scaled up on production vehicles next year. The recycled foam will be one element to a new ‘circular seat’ that it is estimated will half the CO2e emissions impact, avoiding 44kg of CO2e per seat, the equivalent of charging almost 3,000 smartphones. Harnessing the collective expertise of JLR, Dow MobilityScience – Jaguar TCS Racing’s Official Materials Science Partner – and industry leader Adient, this significant breakthrough highlights the strength of collaboration in accelerating the development and implementation of sustainable innovations. The breakthrough is a result of JLR’s Circularity Lab, based in Gaydon, which aims to boost the recyclability of our luxury vehicles by bringing together cross-functional teams with experts and supplier partners to knowledge share and ‘learn through doing’, enabling the development of scalable solutions at speed. The implementation of #circularity and its principles is crucial to avoiding emissions in our products and operations as we transition to become an all-electric business.
