📸 An Evening of Art and Architecture at Arclight We’ve been busy at our recently completed project, Arclight, a complex mixed-use retrofit that we’re incredibly proud of. Last night, we had the privilege of attending the private view of Josh Shinner's photographic exhibition at the building. The exhibition beautifully captures the Arclight project during its construction.   As Project Manager on this transformative development, it was inspiring to see Josh’s lens showcase the raw beauty and craftsmanship that went into bringing this project to life. In addition to the exhibition, we’ve also been taking clients on tours of the building, sharing the journey behind its transformation. As we approach the final stages of construction heading to completion, the revealing of the facade following months of scaffolding hiding it away was great to see this week at Shorts Gardens. The Church Grove project led by volunteers through RUSS is the first development of this type to offer self-finish and self-build residential units across a broad tenure mix in London. Victoria Panting provided client representative services as part of HUSH’s social value commitment. Victoria invested considerable personal time to ensure a successful outcome of this project, navigating sensitive challenges and human emotion dealing with people’s homes and volunteers, amongst a tough commercial backdrop and changing regulatory environment. We are extremely proud of Victoria’s involvement in this community led housing project and hope that this sets the precedent for many more developments whereby the end user and community is at the heart of the scheme. Set within the 180-acre Bedfont Lakes Country Park in Heathrow, Henley Investment Management Ltd's Bloom Heathrow London development is taking shape.  We've been working on the third of seven buildings, retrofitting and refurbishing the existing structure built in 1991.  The steel frame was the most intriguing and intricate part of the designs, with plans to deconstruct and transport the frame where it can be inspected, remodelled and re-protected before being reinstalled within the new design.  More on the reuse of the steel in this project can be found in London Structures Lab's article.  #bloomheathrow #retrofittingandreusing #carbonimpact

This week, our office manager, Vicky, spent the day reaching out to young girls and educating them about a career in construction at a local Careers Fair. Last week, some of our team attended a CPA event focusing on the state of the market as we enter 2024.  From the presentations provided by London Property Alliance (CPA & WPA), RX London, Cushman & Wakefield, and JLL UK, the office market research showed that grade A office spaces are being snapped up, with an increase in more demanding requirements going beyond the necessities.  We were happy to see buildings we currently provide Occupier 360 services for being used as a case study to demonstrate how the market is developing this year and is on track to transform.  #futureoffices #gradeAspaces #wellbeingintheworkplace
