A big thank you to Ellie and Amy from Hogarths Hotels for the lovely showcase of their Solihull property yesterday. We have placed business at this and also Stone Manor many times over the years and it is the first time we have seen it. A truly fabulous hotel with so many variants for your meetings and parties - even able to organise picnics in the woods with some great team building spaces. They have an events space on their island which would work really well for a company BBQ. Ellie and Amy really showcased their venue well and we were treated to canapés and a delightful brunch. It was exciting to listen to their future plans about new conference spaces and converting the music room into a fine tasting restaurant. The venue has been tastefully decorated and the bedrooms are beautiful. You want to learn all the tricks of the trade and be the master of the kitchen. You hold yourself to a higher culinary standard and it is your attention to each preparation that keeps guests with us to dine. Led by Rob Palmer you'll be working with a dedicated team of industry professionals, you will learn something different every day as you work with new seasonal menus and local suppliers. We have some exciting news to share.. Award-winning chef Rob Palmer will be joining the Hogarths team, as Executive Head Chef.  Rob will be bringing his culinary skills, along with his talented team to join the Hogarths brigade from 7th May. Rob comments: “I’m delighted to be joining Hogarths, a name synonymous with luxury and outstanding quality. Since launching Toffs, I have received such warm and encouraging support from the community and I am proud of everything we have achieved. It’s now time for the next step and a new challenge, and I look forward to showcasing Toffs at Hogarths, combining two shining examples of Solihull’s hospitality scene.” Rob will oversee the hotel’s full kitchen team, bringing his distinctive style to our popular Brasserie Menu, Afternoon Tea Lounge Menu and the Sunday Lunch offering. The new Hogarths brasserie menu will be available from 28th May, running for both lunch and dinner services. In addition Rob will be relocating the current Toffs, with the official launch of Toffs at Hogarths, a new fine dining experience, opening in September. He leaves on a high after he was recently awarded three AA Rosettes; one of just 16 restaurants across the country to achieve the coveted accolade this year. Rob added: “Guests can look forward to the same ethos that Toffs has become known for, with different menu offerings to suit any occasion as well as a brasserie option. Hogarths’ three counties menu aligns beautifully with my passion for British and ethically sourced produce, and I will be crafting an offering that reflects that, giving diners a truly memorable experience.” Toffs will close on Saturday 4th May with Rob and team relocating from Tuesday 7th May. Any restaurant vouchers for Toffs can be used until this date and will then be honoured at the Toffs at Hogarths location from September. Those with restaurant bookings and deposits at Toffs will be contacted directly by the team for next steps. Guests are encouraged to visit Toffs ahead of their closure and enjoy a taste of what is to come at Hogarths.

Another successful open day at Hogarths Hotels. This time, I had the pleasure of planning it Myself. As someone who has always been a planner in both my past career and personal life, getting to do this as a day job is a dream come true. I want to give a huge thank you to our amazing suppliers who helped make the day possible. Additionally, it was great to see some new faces join us today, making it all the more enjoyable. In preparation the team enjoyed a short but cute puppy visit in the office on Friday. Did you know having puppies in the office elevates motivation and provides a calm and stress free environment?
