[Super Speakers Session] At Happening and Superbet, we’re all about real conversations bridging tech, business, and product. 🤝 Our first Super Speakers Session in Zagreb featured Eamonn O'Loughlin, our Chief Commercial Officer, who shared detailed insights into our bold expansion into Brazil. 🇧🇷 From quick wins and challenges, to fails and lessons learned, it was a unique opportunity for our colleagues to engage directly and ask questions in a relaxed setting. What a day! 🤩 Over 100 data enthusiasts came together last week at Snowflake’s User Group Croatia meetup at our office in Zagreb, to share insights, connect, and learn! 🥳 The meetup was kicked off with an engaging presentation “Happening Journey to Snowflake,” where Luka Postruzin shared our organisation’s transformative journey to adopting Snowflake. He highlighted the challenges faced and achievements earned in transitioning to a cloud-based data warehouse. Key takeaways included how Snowflake: ✔️ Simplifies integration with product teams ✔️ Opens up a world of tools for easy embedding ✔️ Boosts productivity for data and ML engineers ✔️ Scales seamlessly with our growth ✔️ Is cost-effective Luka Franić took us through various strategies to make data ingestion efficient and scalable. Snowpipe Streaming helped lower our data ingestion costs by over 70%! 🤯 We wrapped it up with a lively discussion with Łukasz Leszewski and our host Tomislav Lisak, where they exchanged ideas and debated best practices for building data pipelines, both within and outside of Snowflake. Amid rapid market growth and changing user needs, we decided to go to the drawing board and rethink the fundamentals of gaming. The goal was to optimise core journeys, ensure effortless navigation, and create a seamless experience that can scale across markets. Introducing the Unified Design & Technology: a cohesive gaming experience across markets and channels, enhancing both frontend and backend functionalities. Key improvements include enhanced search capabilities, enriched game tiles and details for better data presentation, and more intuitive navigation. The results speak for themselves: We’ve achieved up to a 4% increase in conversion from visit to gameplay across all markets and channels with this release. Reflecting on our recent experience at Techsylvania 🙌 A big thank you to all who visited our booth and engaged with us, and to our colleagues Matija Martić, ★ Andru Beldie, Ivan Miličević and Lucian Petcana, for sharing insights into Happening, who we are, and how we work. 😊 Our Android Engineer, Martina Vidakovic, took the Impact stage to share our journey of app refactoring and unification using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP). She discussed overcoming obstacles and successfully unifying the UI and business logic across all markets, leading to improved development efficiency and reduced complexity. We also had the privilege of hearing from Sacha Dragic, Founder and Chairman of Superbet, who shared his vision and insights into our industry’s evolution. He addressed the challenges faced by product and tech organisations and how to overcome them. Led by Nora Lazić, our last Culture Session was an introduction into who we are as a company, our products, and, most importantly, our people. 🎉 Throughout the day, Mario Pavic unpacked the complexities of our products and the dynamic structure of our product teams, highlighting stories that showcase the impact on our customers. 📈🧠 Filip Reškov simplified our expansive tech organisation with humour and memes, ensuring everyone grasped each team’s role and responsibilities within our 500+ strong tech community. 💪👾 By day’s end, new team members not only understood our organisation inside out, but had also got to know each other in a fun and creative way. 🤝

Our colleagues, Ivan Hrastinski and Sergej Jakovljev, will be speaking at RoachFest by Cockroach Labs in London this week. We’re thrilled to announce that our very own Shreshth Tuli (Shray) has been awarded the Best SPEC Dissertation 2023 Award. 👏 🙌 His research, focusing on using AI for more efficiency, faster, and scalable distributed computing systems, has earned him this recognition, and we couldn’t be prouder. 🎉 This thesis makes a great leap forward at the intersection of AI and distributed computing, tying both fields together and demonstrating the versatility of AI.
