We wanted to share a recent question and answer from our webinar last week: “A question for Darren, from pits and troughs hitting targets to 97% predictability. In terms of rep retention, how much was it change the sales training Vs sales culture?” Thank you Darren Loveday for your answer: "There was no change to reps or the sales cycle stages. Instead we focused on deal movement where each AE came to the table each week with a summary of percentage of active deals that have moved forward in the previous week, the percentage that have moved to commit and the percentage that had moved to commit. This created a clearer lens on momentum with AEs keen to show how they were performing. It was supported by clear sales cycle exit gates per stage but these were already in place. It was simply a change of lens and it gave us a data point that as at a certain point in the quarter (mid way through the month before quarter end) we saw an almost perfect correlation between what was in commit vs what actually closed at the end of the quarter.
