It was an real honour to be invited along to JLR's Global DE&I Summit yesterday to take part in a group discussion, with some other amazing panelists, on the DE&I journey of our businesses and what we have learned. It was great to be able to stay for the rest of the day to see all the amazing work going on in the business, with some really thought provoking discussion and inspirational speeches from Dame Kelly Holmes and Amar Latif. Both of whom were amazing!

We were absolutely thrilled to be chosen as the winner in the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion category at the Engineering & Manufacturing Awards, which took place last week 😄 It is the second year in row that we have won the award, which shows how committed we are to continuing to progress the cause of ED&I in the workplace. And It is thanks to our whole workforce, who support on these issues and help to drive the business forward 💪 #equality #diversity #inclusion #businessawards #awards

We are very proud of the relationship that we have built up with Corley Academy, part of the Thrive Education Partnership, over the years, to work on the shared goal of improving opportunities for young people with disabilities. They have put together a great video below of their Thrive program (which we are part of) and it shows the impact that this can have on young peoples lives. Here's hoping for many more years of success working together 😊
Thrive launches Employability Film We’ve created an inspiring employability video that highlights our efforts in fostering partnerships with employers to boost employability for our students. According to recent data, only around 7% of young people with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) secure paid employment after education. We are determined to surpass this national statistic. The video showcases our commitment to providing students with quality curriculum, effective provision, and ambitious opportunities. Bebeanna Woo, our Head of Careers & Partnerships, plays a crucial role in ensuring our students have realistic and ambitious prospects within the community. Our ultimate goal is to equip students with the skills and opportunities needed for employment or independent living. Watch the video below and see first hand the positive impact of our initiatives in preparing our students for successful futures. Great to be able to celebrate so many long service milestones reached this year with Evtec. It is especially pleasing as a business to see that these cover all different areas, including, Production, IT, Engineering, Commercial, Supply Chain & Human Resources. These employees long service helps to give us the consistency across the business to grow in a fast-changing world and we would like to say a big THANK YOU for all their loyalty and hard work in their time with us! Special recognition has to go to our Canteen Manager Hannah who has reached THIRTY years service and who continually goes over and above to provide great food and a great amount of care for our Evtec team! 👏 Jez Hunt, Phil Hogan, Bill Penfold, Jane Billson #longservice #recognition #thankyou

Last day at work before the big #Euro2024 final and our employees have come to work with their team's colours on. (Unfortunately, some have chosen Man United tops, but there's no accounting for taste 😂). We have been able to raise more for our chosen charities and got everyone excited for the big games Sunday! Come on England! 🦁🦁🦁

It was great to have Ege in last week, a student from Alcester Grammar School looking to gain experience in engineering and manufacturing. During the week he working in aftermarket, quality, project engineering, commercial sales, continuous improvement, Health & Safety as well as our plastic injection moulding and oven forming areas. He was really enthusiastic, asking lots of questions and was a pleasure to support him on his first steps into a career in #engineering! We rounded off the week with some feedback and a summary of everything he has done that he can take with him to support him in his next steps. And of course, we had to present him with a certificate for all the hard work! (from our Director of Commercial, Jez Hunt). We wish Ege all the best in what he goes onto next, and we're sure he'll make a great success of whatever field he chooses to go into. #workexperience #stem #stemcareers #earlycareers

We had a fantastic day yesterday celebrating the success of this years student interns from Corley Academy & Hereward College. It was great to be able to welcome in parents, staff from the school and college, as well as Claire Parker, Debbie Dunnell & Rita Davey from JLR's Diversity & Inclusion and Supplier Partnership teams. We had some great presentations from the students time with and Nicolas Hamilton gave an inspirational talk, before handing out some awards to the students and some thank-yous to the brilliant Job Coaches, Cath, Jamie and Sarah. Hannah's Kitchen outdid themselves again with an amazing BBQ buffet, with all funds raised going to British Heart Foundation and all the great work that they do 😀 #diversity #inclusion #disabilityemployment #earlycareers #manufacturing
