Clean-Tech Innovator | Delivering Decarbonisation
About us
Enertechnos is a pioneering clean-tech innovator, dedicated to delivering decarbonisation and supporting the transition to net zero. One of the obstacles on path to net zero is inefficient power delivery that increases energy losses consequently effecting costs on consumers. To address this issue we invented a new concept called ‘Capacitive Transfer System’ (CTS) which reimagines the cable design. Our low-loss cable CTS cable design allows innovative and cost-effective application in power delivery, EV charging and decarbonisation of airports. Our pioneering research has shown how balancing reactance and capacitance in cabling can not only reduce losses but can also enable renewable sources to generate usable energy for more of the day. We have incorporated this technology into CTS – a cost-effective replacement for existing cables and deployable in new infrastructure, while providing significant system benefits through reduced losses.

Last night, the team took a well-deserved break from the office and hit the bowling lanes for our holiday party. It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the hard work and dedication everyone has shown this year. While we always bring our competitive edge to the workplace, it was just as present on the lanes – friendly rivalry and all. There was a clear winner of the prestigious Black Swan Award, Electric Green's Martin Beaumont, who scored an impressive 152! Moments like these remind us of the importance of recognising achievements and spending time together outside the office. It’s not just about the strikes and spares; it’s about camaraderie, connection and recharging for the road ahead. Here’s to wrapping up a successful year and aiming even higher in the next. Wind power is poised for exponential growth as the world pushes for a net-zero future. The global offshore wind market could exceed 240 GW by 2030, creating new opportunities for energy security, job creation, and carbon reduction [Clarksons Research]. At Enertechnos, our CTS technology helps optimise the efficiency of wind energy transmission, reducing transmission losses and improving stability. With the renewable energy sector continuing to expand, we are excited about the opportunities to drive positive change. https://lnkd.in/eh5uzs8g. #WindEnergy #OffshoreWind #EnergyTransition #Sustainability

A recent BloombergNEF report highlights a startling imbalance: for every £1 spent on #RenewableEnergy, just 25p is invested in the cables and power lines needed to connect this clean energy to consumers. As a result, the UK ranks eighth among the world’s top 10 energy markets, trailing behind nations like Germany, Spain, the USA and China. The challenge is clear: without urgent investment in grid infrastructure, we risk wasting the clean #energy we’ve worked so hard to generate. Already this year, the UK has spent £1bn turning off wind turbines due to insufficient grid capacity to carry power where it’s needed most. At Enertechnos, we’re focused on addressing these challenges. Our CTS Cable technology is designed to modernise and optimise grid infrastructure, offering a more efficient, cost-effective solution to help build a future-ready energy system. To meet the UK’s ambitious #NetZero goals, the grid must evolve alongside renewable energy projects. It’s time to invest equally in both. Let’s build a grid that’s fit for the next generation, not stuck in the past. 2024 has been a year of significant achievements in the renewable energy sector. Here are 10 facts that remind us how far we've come: 1. UK offshore wind capacity has surpassed 85 GW, powering more than 10 million homes. [Offshore Energies UK] 2. Around 30% of global electricity was generated from renewables in 2024. [United Nations] 3. UK wind energy accounted for 30% of the country’s total electricity generation in 2024. [National Grid] 4. The UK solar market hit 15.6 GW of installed capacity. [Heatable] 5. The global offshore wind market is set to reach 492 GW by 2035. [National Renewable Energy Laboratory] 6. Carbon emissions from industrial processes fell by 102 Mt since 2023. [International Energy Agency (IEA)] 7. The EU’s renewable energy share exceeded 44%. [Ember] 8. Over 17 million EVs are now on the road worldwide. [GreenMatch] 9. The global energy storage market in 2024 is estimated at 360 GWh. [World Economic Sustainability Forum] 10. The cost of solar power has dropped by over 90% in the last decade. [University of Cambridge] The power of innovation and collaboration cannot be overstated - let's make 2025 another landmark year. #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #GreenTech #EnergyTransition #ClimateAction

It was our pleasure to attend the CurrENT Europe AGM in Brussels yesterday. The development and deployment of grid technologies are fundamental in our journey toward a more stable and sustainable future, and we are proud to forge this path alongside CurrENT and its members. Our thanks to Layla Sawyer for organising and hosting and to its wider community for its industry-leading work.
It’s not often CurrENT gets to have member meetings in person, with our members based in different countries around the world. After meeting so frequently online, it is great to see some familiar faces in person for CurrENT’s AGM, taking place in Brussels. ⚡️It is important to mention those members who couldn’t make it in person but joined online as we discussed CurrENT’s plans for 2025 and how to promote the development and wide scale deployment of #InnovativeGridTechnoloies across Europe’s electricity grids. 📤 Check out CurrENT’s policy position Clean Industrial Deal and how Innovative Grid Technogies can help unleash the full potential of Europe’s electricity grid: https://lnkd.in/gwihrpw5 #CleanIndustrialDeal #Decarbonisation #ElectricityGrids Brian Berry | Mark Norton | Alberto Méndez Rebollo | Duncan Burt | Marco Rettig | Romain COULLETTE | Yann Duclot | Andrea Augieri, Ph.D. | Georg Rute | Martina Fritzel | Wolfgang Troppauer | Stephan Heberer | Sankara Subramanian |

We had the privilege of attending the S&P Global Carbon Markets Conference in Barcelona this week, where industry leaders delved into the evolving landscape of carbon markets post-COP29. Over two days, the discussions provided invaluable insights into Articles 6.2 and 6.4 of the #COP29 agreement, pivotal to financing #carbon reduction and removal initiatives. From exploring the challenges and opportunities in the carbon reduction business to examining the integrity and scalability of carbon markets, the event was a timely reminder of this sector's transformative potential. As the market matures, we're inspired by the commitment to addressing uncertainties and seizing the opportunities ahead. Here's to continuing the dialogue and driving meaningful change in the journey to #NetZero.
