    Team DJ are looking forward to some Christmas Cheer later today for a Christmas meal and then to The Big Birmingham Bake where we will be each battling it out against each other for the best Christmas Bake. 🍥 As the year draws to a close, we want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you. Whether you’ve worked with us, supported us, or simply followed our journey, your trust and collaboration have meant the world to us. 2024 hasn’t been without its challenges, and we know how tough it has been for many. But it’s in these moments that resilience and community shine through, and we are so grateful to have shared this journey with you.     In our last Podcast episode of 2024, I am delighted to introduce you to Cordelia Johnney, award winning, Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion from Stonewater, a leading social housing provider.     Here Comes the Sun... Next week marks the shortest day, and from there, the only way is up. Brighter mornings are on the horizon—gradual, yes, but enough to make the dog walk that bit more enjoyable. Lighter evenings aren’t far behind either. Waking up to glorious sunshine yesterday made me feel like a different person. Everyone I spoke to seemed to be in a better mood too. After the storms we’ve had lately, there’s something about the sun that brings a renewed energy, doesn’t it? While I truly enjoy the changing of the seasons, there’s something magical about the way sunshine can lift the spirit and shift the mood. If you’re lucky enough to be basking in some sunshine—however cold it may still be—take a moment to celebrate it. Celebrate the little things. Happy Sunday, everyone!

    A nervous moment. As many of you will know I have been proud to be involved in judging various awards over the last 12 years, many of which have been provided by Awards International. Recently they sent me an email and asked if I wanted to receive a Judges feedback report... YES, I enthusiastically replied, of course. I am always looking to improve and openly ask for regular feedback from people I work with, so yes. Then I started to think, big gulp, what if it is comes back and I haven't been very good. I wasn't as concerned for my own ego, but more for all the finalists I have judged over the years and so it was a nervous moment when I received the report, especially as I had to scroll down multiple pages to get to the result 😅. I am delighted to say I received 100%, 100%! For both my Comments and Professionalism, for "providing quality feedback, consistently, constructivly and which correlated with the scores I provided" Phew. I can't quite believe it is that good, I can honestly say I have never achieved 100% in anything before (other than my delivery against the searches I have completed over the last five years 😄) but I will take it and the huge sense of relief it bought that I haven't and am not letting down all the individuals who work so hard to deliver these many programmes and continuous improvements and who take so much time to prepare and present their awards. Thank you Filip Lampic.
