🏗️ We're thrilled to share a review from Kryštof Kratochvíl, Project Leader at Skanska, on working with Cyrkl during the Mercuria building #CircularDemolition in Prague: 💬 “The project, on which #Skanska worked with #Cyrkl, consisted of identifying material flows that could be recycled or reused during the demolition of the Mercuria building in Prague and finding suitable partners for further management of the selected material. The pre-demolition audit was particularly unique with regard to the realistic use in the next phases and its scope. The benefit is a huge saving of #waste that would have been generated during #demolition using conventional methods. Such waste usually goes to landfill. Another benefit was the creation of strategic partnerships for the further management of the material. We were satisfied with the progress of the project and found partners who had a similar interest in circular use of existing materials as Skanska. Putting certain items and materials on the Cyrkl marketplace allowed us to find other interesting partners that we would not have found on our own. We would certainly recommend Cyrkl to other companies, its services are very beneficial. Here's how to get started! 🚀 1️⃣ Understand Your Processes The first step is to thoroughly understand your production processes and material flow. Knowing where your materials come from, their properties, and what happens to them at the end of their life cycle is crucial. Analyze how your #waste is currently being processed - whether it's being recycled, used for energy recovery, or ending up in landfills. 2️⃣ Turn Waste into Value Waste has value, and with the right partners, you can maximize that value. Effective #WasteManagement can turn negative outputs into positive resources. Starting with waste is a great way to kick off circular initiatives, as the results are often quick and impactful. 💡 3️⃣ Manufacture from Recycled Materials This is one of the more complex challenges.
