The champagne is chilling. The vol-au-vents are in the oven. And the trophies are printed. Tonight we celebrate the very best in corporate communications and corporate reporting at a joint event, taking place in the Art Deco grandeur of Porchester Hall. Obviously we don't have any pictures of this year's proceedings, but here is one from the archives. Congratulations to all those shortlisted - and best of luck! We'll be exploring the reasons the judges chose each of the winning campaigns over the course of the next few weeks on this platform. #CCAwards #CRAwards

Ask any corporate affairs professional about the special talent that they bring to an organisation, and they will often cite the ability to 'bring the outside in'. And sometimes the only way to bring that 'outside in' is to go outside, network and discuss the issues of the day with your colleagues and peers in a safe space. The Corporate Affairs Summit last month provided the perfect opportunity to do just that. It may not have been conducted under the Chatham House Rule, but there was great candour from those on stage at the London Stock Exchange who shared their challenges and successes. For some delegates these provided 'lightbulb' moments, for others it was about providing validation for the strategy they currently pursue. Nobody claimed to have all the answers, but some are obviously further along in their thinking about certain issues. What did the attendees hope to get from the day? Well the talented Rob Glass captured some thoughts from delegates as they stopped for a welcome breather.

The CorpComms Awards are open! When you launch the 2024 Corporate Reporting Awards by opening trading on the London Stock Exchange (still pinching myself), it is impossible to think of a comparable act to launch this year’s CorpComms Awards. So why try? So, ladies and gentlemen, in a complete reversal of fortunes, I have launched this year’s CorpComms Awards programme by opening a bag of crisps. And boy, did it feel good. Obviously, not quite as good as pressing a button, starting the countdown clock and seeing the FTSE 100 open at a new high, but still very satisfying. Now to see the entries flow in... #corpcommsawards #pr #awards #trophies #bestpractice #winning

We've just launched this year's Corporate Reporting Awards. And we marked the occasion by pressing the button to start the day's trading on the London Stock Exchange. It was a huge honour and privilege to do so, and our guests let out a collective sigh of relief (and cheered) as the market turned green immediately afterwards. The awards are open to all organisations based in the UK or listed on the London Stock Exchange, who were such wonderful hosts yesterday. Shout out to head of events Tom Hurley who made sure Helen Dunne pressed the button at the right time. And another shout out to our wonderful supporters UNICEPTA UK and Beyond Governance. Don't their logos look brilliant on the new digital banner? #awards #corporatereporting #annualreports #esgreports #socialimpactreports #financialreporting #purpose #riskgovernance #capitalmarketsday
