Campaign to End Loneliness
Non-profit Organizations
The Campaign to End Loneliness believe that people of all ages need connections that matter.
About us
We believe that people of all ages need connections that matter. Since 2011, the Campaign to End Loneliness has worked at the forefront of loneliness and connection. Our approach is underpinned by the belief that people of all ages need connections that matter, guided by our vision that everyone can live a life free from chronic loneliness. From 2020 to 2024, we were hosted by the What Works Centre for Wellbeing. During this time we had three priorities: · Developing evidence to make a practical difference. · Bringing together the community of organisations who care about the issue to share their expertise and experience. · Making the case for action on loneliness across society. As the only organisation devoted solely to loneliness, we had significant research and policy expertise, and were regularly commissioned by public sector organisations for both qualitative and quantitative research. As of 1st May 2024, the Campaign to End Loneliness website and assets are hosted by the Centre for Loneliness Studies at Sheffield Hallam University.

The Campaign to End Loneliness/Sheffield Hallam is thrilled to announce that, in partnership with Intergenerational England and with the inspiring support of Jo Cox’s legacy, we are now taking on the role of Secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Tackling Loneliness and Connected Communities. 🎉 Loneliness is one of the most pressing issues of our time, impacting individuals across all generations. Collectively, working with policymakers, cross-sector partners, and community voices, we’ll ensure that tackling loneliness remains at the forefront of the national agenda. We look forward to working with colleagues across Parliament and beyond to build a more inclusive, connected, and resilient society. Let’s create a future where everyone, regardless of age, feels seen, supported, and valued. 👉 Follow us for updates on upcoming APPG events, discussions, and opportunities to get involved! #IntergenerationalEngland #EndLoneliness #ConnectedCommunities #JoCoxFoundation #APPG #LonelinessMatters #IntergenerationalApproach

Take Five to Stop Fraud 1 in 4 people say there isn’t someone in their life that they would talk to if they thought someone was trying to scam them. This lack of a support network can leave people at greater risk of being scammed. This festive season, we’re supporting @TakeFivetoStopFraud and encouraging people to: ✋ Stop: Take a moment to stop and think before parting with your money and information. ☝️ Challenge: Ask yourself – could it be fake? Ask someone you trust for a second opinion. It’s ok to reject, refuse or ignore any requests. 👊 Protect: Contact your bank immediately if you think you’ve been scammed and report it to Action Fraud.
