Happy work anniversary to me! 🎂 This week has marked the end of my second year at Calla Lily Clinical Care. One year ago we moved in these beautiful, but empty rooms with the vision that one day there would be 3 fully operational Labs. In April the bigger lab started to have a shape, but behind every equipment there is a saga. I am very proud to show these pics today, after planning every move, talk to an infinite number of suppliers and discussing the details internally the day has come. 🤩 Coming out of academia, where labs are always fully established, running this operation in parallel to my beloved R&D for #callavid has been a very first for me. 🥼 This massive milestone has only been possible with the help of the brains and muscles from two teams: Ewa Radziwon, Kaylie Mings, Arturo Jose Mendoza Meinhardt, PhD, Sabrina Tayla Franco and Elham Shirani. Standing ovation to you all! 👏 Thank you to Jon Marson and his team for the high-quality custom-made furniture and for always being precise, professional and respectful of our timeline. Thank you to our Chiefs as surely they prefer to hear different sagas and for betting on that postdoc two years ago. 🙏

🌞 If only all work trips could be in sunny California! Kicked things off with a meeting by the Marina, where I had the pleasure of chatting with Sara Naseri about Qvin and the immense untapped potential of menstrual effluent research. It’s inspiring to witness just how much has been accomplished in the past decade and the promising future ahead. 🩸 Visiting the The Stanford d.school brought back memories (and maybe a few flashbacks!) from countless hours in the PRL. It was inspiring to catch up with former teachers, David Kelley and Brett Newman, who’ve been guiding so much evolution there. Connecting with current students like Yaayaa Pajibo who shares a strong interest in women’s health, was a great reminder of how passionate the next generation is. At the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, I joined the #FemTech club mixer with my former colleague Priyanka Seegobin and was thrilled by the growing interest in this field among both entrepreneurs and investors. And as a bonus, I caught up with my #fieldhockey friends at the annual Stanford Alumni game. It was awesome to see the next generation of collegiate hockey players from The Kinkaid School and St. John's School! 🏑 Returning to Stanford was a refreshing blend of reconnecting, reflecting, and recharging.
