This is inspired by a post we saw recently from an accountant who had been asked to complete a feedback survey - after 20 minutes they weren't even halfway through so gave up! We ask our customers for feedback all the time (and get it!) but we learned the secret years ago - you only need to ask 4 questions! And they are: 1. What did we do well? 2. ⚠️The WAW Bubul has launched! Spread the Word! We wanted to help people with great ideas to set up and start their own businesses with some solid advice along the way. Nigel Greenwood from BuBul has collaborated with 20 other WAW members to produce the WAW version of BuBul – the world’s first software that works out what advice someone needs to successfully launch a business and delivers it from experts who have been there, done that and got the t-shirt! We were challenged last week to create a better explanation of how BuBul benefits accountants and bookkeepers in a way that's relevant to them. Here's our first effort - what do you think? How BuBul could be worth £228,000 to you (over 5 years!): Let’s assume you buy 200 licences for your clients. You pay £3 per month per licence and sell them to your clients for £10 a month (a 50% saving on the normal BuBul retail price for them). That gives you £16,800 a year additional revenue – £84,000 over 5 years. But that's not the best bit! On average 10.5% of UK SMEs fail each year (Source: ONS) so you could expect to lose 20 of those clients each year. BUT, Government statistics also show that small businesses that get advice are 40% more likely to survive. That means BuBul could reduce the number of your client failures by 8 each year. Assuming you charge each of them £1,200 a year, that’s worth £9,600 in year 1, £19,200 in year 2, £28.800 in year 3, £38,400 in year 4 and £48,000 in year 5 and onwards. That’s £144,000 over 5 years. Add that to the margin from selling the licences (£84,000) and that’s a revenue impact of £228,000 over the first 5 years of using BuBul with ongoing annual revenue of £64,800. Here's a bit more of an insight into BuBul: Although we market our software to accountants, it isn't right for many of them! BuBul gives tailored advice to micro businesses who wouldn't normally have easy access to advice, so, if you're an accountant who only works with larger firms, BuBul probably isn't for you. BuBul advises on a wide range of business areas (except finance) so, if you're an accountant who also offers business advice and can work out and advise on things such as if a business should be using social media to better effect, or can help improve lead generation, conversion, retention, carbon emissions, complaint handling, customer referrals and the like then BuBul probably isn't for you. And finally, if you're an accountant who enjoys just doing the returns and accounts for your clients, then BuBul probably isn't for you either!
