With the end of the year fast approaching, it’s exciting to look back at the journey 2024 has taken the Bild Studios team on. From starting the year in Miami delivering an impressive stage design and hologram jersey reveal for Royal Caribbean, to providing large scale projections for Jamie XX in London’s Alexandra Palace, there are some great projects to be proud of!  The team were back in KSA for EWC  as well delivering large scale projections in AlUla for Hegra After Dark. We had boots on the ground for the Paris Olympics and we supported Craft Films deliver an innovative LED set for Big Brother. For the past year we have been busy working on several major installation projects, which we are happy to report we will be able to reveal next year!  Our co-founder David Bajt was lucky enough to present at SXSW and we added Harrison Murley Lee and Fritz Arthur Hackman to our team. 2024 has been a rich and rewarding year, we can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store!

As the dust settles from Hegra after Dark, a congratulations is in order to our talented team members who supported Daz Jamieson and SM Pro to bring this unique experience to life. Rury Nelson, our Senior Project Engineer, together with Bild Disguise Programmer Adam Baston were onsite in A'lula to manage projector lineup, calibration, mediaserver systems and programming. Bild Producer, Christina Souris, worked closely with the creative and content teams to deliver the 20 minute show. Our people remain at the heart of our business, collaborating with clients to make extraordinary shows like this a success. We look forward to the next opportunity to support next level storytelling.

#ThrowbackThursday The making of Volumetric Content for architectural installations! In the early days of Bild, end of 2016, Bild Studios’s co-founder David Bajt was commissioned to design real-time 3D content and to engineer a content workflow solution for the unique architectural video installation “DEX” at The Mall of Scandinavia in Stockholm, Sweden. To drive the 65m long installation, made out of 3800 LED strips, David crafted a workflow combining advanced UV maps, @notch.one and @disguise.one, allowing 3D graphics to cut through the volume in real-time. With the workflow in place he could design rich volumetric aurora's, 3D wave patterns and a range of other abstract looks that followed a predefined sequence throughout the day.  With this solution the graphics could be mapped, visualised and tweaked onsite in real-time, avoiding the time-consuming trials & error of content testing. 

It’s been an exciting year for MARS Volume, we were thrilled to welcome the talented cast and crew of Netflix’s Black Doves to the studio earlier this year.

This November, Bild Studios travelled to the historic town of A'lula in Saudi Arabia to deliver a spectacular projection show, 'Hegra After Dark', produced by SM Pro, Working under Daz Jamieson's creative direction, Bild created all the content for this extraordinary projection canvas, and successfully delivered a full technical projection mapping solution, including media server supply. In this event, the past met the present with a spectacular combination of technology, where projection, lighting and drones illustrated the stories of this ancient landscape, bringing life to the fascinating history of Hegra's finished and unfinished tombs in the audience's imaginations.
