Over the last few months, the teams within Speakers for Schools have worked tirelessly to implement two and brand new initiatives that will bring increased visibility and awareness to our offerings. We are delighted to announce the launch of our Social Mobility Partner Directory and Affiliate Partners offerings.   Our Social Mobility Partner Directory brings together our network of employers, educational institutions and national bodies to showcase their involvement in our shared mission to close the opportunity gap and enhance socioeconomic diversity in the workplace.   Our Affiliate Partner offering provides employers the chance to promote their in-house work experience programs to our network of state secondary schools and colleges, connecting with a broader, more diverse talent pool via our platform.   This is a significant milestone in expanding our reach, enabling more young people to discover and access transformative work experiences that pave the way to brighter futures. Last week I participated into Community Roadshows Events organised by Berkshire Careers Hub. Thanks Allison Giles@ for the collaboration with the ASK South project /CXK to increase the knowledge of apprenticeships and technical routes. I would also like to thank Rob Deeks and Rosa Hopkins from Aik Saath, Slough to support the event and making us feel welcome. Thanks, Allison, for sharing the information about the few of the jobs that are likely to be in high demand over the next 15 years like Cyber security expert, Robotics engineer, Nurse, Software developer, UX designer, Care workers etc. with the attendee and Grace Slade for sharing your experience as an apprentice working with Berkshire LEP. It helped me to have an impactful session. I am sure together we can achieve greater and more equitable uptake and Improve understanding and awareness regarding apprenticeships pathway amongst students and parents particularly in the Slough area. #Apprenticeships #Collaboration #CommunityRoadshow #Slough
