✨W E W O N ✨ Just a few weeks after winning the East Midlands Medium Sized Business of the Year award, we have done it again, and this one is pretty special. Up against 11 other high calibre businesses in the category, we’re delighted to say that Aquavista won The Lloyds Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year Award last night at the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards. The LBBE Awards is the UK’s largest and most prestigious business awards programme that celebrates the cream of the crop in British business. World Mental Health Day🌎 We got together at HQ today in support of #worldmentalhealthday! We like to have a fuddle in the office on a regular basis, it’s a good way to help the team step away from their desks for lunch and get chatting! Today’s fuddle had new feature of question cards, they really helped the team engage and connect on new levels with questions you may not always think to ask! We learned about the teams aspirations, goals, hobbies and perspectives of the world around them! Mental health in the workplace is so important, we do as much as we can to ensure our team have comfortable, open spaces to talk about their mental health as well as having access to wellbeing tools✨

We did it! 🙌 A week ago today our amazing Aquavista team completed the 20-mile charity walk in aid of Young Lives vs Cancer, and the results are nothing short of incredible:   🚶♂️ Total miles walked by our team: 223 – that's the distance from London to Paris! 🇬🇧➡️🇫🇷 👟 Over half a million steps: A whopping 530,000 steps in total, which breaks down to 48,000 steps per person for our team of 12!   And let's not forget the well-earned fuel along the way: 🥖 6 battered sausages 🍬 3 bags of Percy Pigs   And of course, we couldn’t have done it without the fantastic support of local businesses along the way: ☕ Huge thanks to Café Blue for hosting us bright and early to kick off the day. 🍰 A special shoutout to the Beeston Canal Heritage Centre for the much-needed coffee and cake stop in the morning. 🚤 Thank you to Beeston Marina for letting us drop by and use your facilities in the afternoon. 🍻 And last but not least, The Trent Lock Pub for being our well-deserved final stop before the home stretch back to Sawley!   Thank you to everyone who supported us on this journey – every step, mile, and snack was worth it for such a fantastic cause💙   We’re proud to be making a difference for children, young people, and families facing cancer. CRICK BOAT SHOW 2024 It's almost a month since we welcomed lots of wonderful boat folk to our Tillers & Tankards festival village at Crick Marina during their annual boat show. We had an incredible line up of live music over four days which got toes tapping and created lots of sing along moments. Another highlight from the weekend was supporting Channel 4's Narrow Escapes star, Chugabug and a fantastic bunch of narrowboat vloggers for his charity beard shave. Thank you to everyone who showed up to support and donated, they raised just over £4,000 for Cancer Research UK (CRUK).
