Welcome to Abhi Singh, who has joined our Australian team as Business Development Manager. Abhi brings extensive experience from key roles in the equipment hire and industrial gas sectors, including over three years as a major Account Manager at one of Australia’s leading equipment hire companies, and eight years at a globally recognised industrial gases and engineering company. His primary focus will be to develop opportunities for our services in new markets while also managing existing client relationships. In 2022, we introduced Flame Shield, our chemical fire suppression system, to our rental fleet. Developed to support clients operating with methanol or similar chemicals, Flame Shield is designed to mitigate the risks associated with these volatile, toxic, and flammable substances, which burn with a non-luminous flame. The product has proven to be a success, and as part of our ongoing commitment to investing in new equipment, we're currently building two additional Flame Shields at our headquarters in Kintore. Mobilising from Aberdeen are two of our new 1000 cfm, 30-bar high-pressure air compressors. They’re now en-route to support back-deck operations on a decommissioning project in the Southern North Sea. Recently, we announced the addition of four new horizontal air receivers to our fleet. This week, we want to introduce two key team members who played an essential role in bringing these new units into operational readiness. Annually, during National Apprentice Week, we recruit an apprentice Workshop Technician (Mechanical Level 3 Apprenticeship) at our HQ in Kintore, Aberdeen. Today we welcome Alasdair Macdonald (left), to our Operations division as part of the 2024 apprentice intake and celebrate Brodie Wilson (right), our 2023 apprentice, now in his second year of training. Mentored by key members of our experienced workshop team, Alasdair and Brodie have been hands-on with the rigorous process of preparing our new equipment; assembling, testing, painting, and branding each unit with its Airpac Rentals’ logos before entering our fleet. A big well done to Brodie and Alistair for their hard work!
